Go and watch Pi and Requim For A Dream again and imagine the man behind those films, is making the new Robocop film. Fucking ace.

I like Aronononononononofsky but frankly the idea of a Robocop remake can do one.

It's not old enough to justify it & you'll never get anyone to bring as hard as Kurtwood Smith (Bodikker). To me Robocop is pretty much the perfect action movie. Excellent troubled hero with a trusty sidekick, delicious script, all the conventions being in place without it being cliched, great action & effects that have held up 20 years later.

I think the Verhoeven original is hugely underrated & often dismissed as action fodder even though there is so much going on in this film. I could go on all day about my love for Robocop but no one wants to see me nerd out.

I have a Robocop related trufact: Peter Weller was going to be John Yutani to Lance Henrikson's Charles Bishop Wayland in A v P but didn't due to filming date clash. Fuck knows what Weller was working on as I haven't seen him for years.
