Some c**t nicked my bike!

Woke up at about 5am to a noise in the back garden. Put it down to pigeons/foxes and so on...

When I got up at 8 to get my bike it's gone

Now, what makes me even more annoyed is that 1. It was honestly the first time in ages I didn't lock the bike up (I was late and feeling lazy!) and 2. If I had just looked out the window when I woke up, I could have done something!:mad:

And they left my g/f's bike there (well, to be fair, I would have left it too!)

It was the best bike I had, I spent a mint on it about 6 years ago when I got rid of my car and I never had a problem with it.. A Canondale F400, which I won't be able to afford now.

RIP Push bike, I hope the person who nicked you has a nasty freak accident on it, involving, but not necessarily limited to testicles becoming entagled in gear mechanisms and the like.

Guess I'll have to catch the bus today :(

:(

sorry to hear that. all the more gutting when you know there was something you could have done to prevent it.

i hope they get crushed by a bus.

Get on all the free ad papers, gumtree ebay, markets etc. You'll see this bike soon, with luck.

sorry to hear that, I know how annoying it is to have somthing stolen form your own garden!

do you have household insurance?

I had my bike nicked from my garden shed and I managed to get a new bike out of the tight bastards........

Claim on the household insurance, he says hoping it was insured in some way

Was covered on household insurance, but we got burgled in september, so if I make a 2nd claim they really will stiff me at renewal time

Still, as my g/f pointed out... "Ironic isn't it..normally you're so anal about locking it up... you use 2 locks and everything...and the one time etc etc"

Thanks love, that makes me feel so much better :(

I'm still torn up about my Tern 'Link' fold up bike being stolen last Thursday. I was literally in a state of shock/disbelief for most of that evening... :(

I thought chaining up my bike amongst a long row of other bicycles + on a busy road with a security camera in the distance might act as a bit of a deterrent, but obviously not to some thieving sonofabitch degenerate who had the barefaced nerve to do it in broad daylight...

Sorry to hear that. Maybe these bike locking tips will help for next time:

I've seen them in action (and reported them). I saw a couple of burly lads at Clapham Common a few years back using a massive tool to cut through bike locks, as bold as brass. Scum.

One time I had to hacksaw off my own D-lock due to a fuck-up with the keys and it was noticeable no-one paid me any mind.

Thanks for the condolences and the video links editor. I still have a hybrid bike that I'm using to travel from home to my local train station re: my daily commute into London. However, I doubt I'll be chaining up my own bicycle in London ever again.

Really pisses me off when I look at the image above, as thieves will even steal various bicycle parts if not the whole bike itself.

You should be able to press a button that makes a big spike go up the seat and into their arsehole . Or have it set to do it if a special button on the bike isn't pressed . Horrible bastards nicking ordinary people's stuff .

And so soon after the Hutton garden job . It's like they've no self respect . No ambition . Just 2 bob cunts .

Yeah, they'll happily steal your bike on the installment plan :(

Fucking annoying as means you end up carrying enough chains/locks that they soon end up heavier than the bloody bike.

I had a bike nicked from outside a shop in 1968 and I'm still furious and still wish that all their Christmas presents are broken because mine was a present whose loss caused me a lot of grief.
