Solidarity with greek anarchists and respect to murdered alexandros

It's nothing to do with 'attitude', it's common sense - something sadly lacking round these parts.

Too many people are too concerned about "getting involved" and "doing something" rather than concentrating on issues that directly affect this country.

Why not concentrate on making our lives better, before poking our noses into someone else's problem?

LOL!

The problem is in Greece. This is England. It's got nothing to do with us, or the people working in the embassy, thus it doesn't affect us.
If you divorce yourself from everything going on around you, then of course it's "nothing to do with us".
If, however, you look at the problem in context with state control and the use of force, then sending a message to both the Greek and our own government is perfectly valid.
Why do people think vandalism and criminal trespass is a valid way to protest about a problem that doesn't affect them?
Because often vandalism and criminal trespass are effective in getting across a message.
Besides, as far as "criminal trespass" at the Greek embassy and consulates is concerned, I do believe you'll find that Greek law holds sway, not UK law, so don't go making assumptions.

Why is it the fault of staff working in an embassy in a different country to where it happened?

If Greek people feel that incensed about it, then go to Greece and protest, not do it here.

How sad, someone who claims to be in his mid-20s, and yet has the whining mindset of a 50 year-old tory.

I don't have any issues with 'state control', have never had 'force used against me' and thus don't understand the 'message'.

Maybe that's just because I'm a regular law abiding citizen that doesn't go round getting involved in the wrong things.

BBC 24 (4.20pm)have just reported that the Greek state are worried that this is a prelude to insurrection come the day of the General Strike. keep on keeping on comrades!!!!

Get ready for the big guns.

exactly, a spineless, bitter busybody.

wouldn't help anyone but wants to know the private business of everyone so he could snitch on them.

Um, no, common sense again.

If there's one of me and 3 of them, simple maths says that I don't have much chance if I decided to take them on.

What you do? Call police, whilst trying to find someone else to help you stop them, and if you can't, then you stay a distance away and shout to them to stop, hopefully scaring them in the process and they run the other way.

If they run towards you, then you immediately head for a place of safety, if they run away, then once you are sure they have left the scene, approach the victim and assure them that help is on the way, whilst seeing if you can provide first aid or other support that may be necessary.

After all, what's the point of ending up getting stabbed yourself and having two victims?

That's fantastic.

You're for real, too, aren't you?

Except from you and your ilk, eh?

Because if we all thought like you, and narrowed our horizons to only that which falls before our own eyes, the world would be a less tolerable place, populated by self-concerned and parochial individuals.

What's the alternative? A world run by people like you? It's no wonder it's such a mess.
