So, where you off to for the summer hols ?

Just had a few days in Belfat which was fantastic!

Off up the the Dales for the start of the Tour de France (staying at my parents) but other than that nothing planned.

Quite fancy a German Christmas market this year :cool:
 
Been on family holidays to Tenerife twice this year, I'm considering Glastobury a holiday and then in July I'm in Ibiza for a stag do for a weekend.

Then we have a week in Sicily for a friends wedding in August. Going to be scorching!
 
I'm not really planning any major holiday this year.

In September, three of us are going down to Orgiva (in the Alpujarras) for a wedding.

It should be good fun because it's in the squatted hippy township of El Morreon so, presumably, there'll be some sort of handfasting and then a crazy drug-fuelled, week-long party..... ;)
 
If i win the lotteryill have a tour. Amalfi, capri, lake garda. Then the states, then the carribean. Fingers crossed.
 
Poole for a week with my brother's family and my parents, renting a house right on the beach. I demand wall-to-wall grandparental childcare and barbecues for every meal, including breakfast.
 
nowhere, i'm saving it all up to use later on in the year where there's not even a .00000001% chance of it being warm(ish) or seeing the sun in SW9 itself. and i haven't decided yet.
although maybe that's definitely the wrong strategic course for this year, when the weather has been so bad so far.
 
We're off to Wales (Fishguard) for a week in a cottage with my other half's entire family - all the inlaws! eeek. and that's it.

oh, I'm also going to a wedding in Wales in June, and we're staying in a s/c place for about 4 days in total I think with a few friends. that should be nice :)
 
Sweden and Finland with my daughter after her GCSEs
Menorca with my GF
Cornwall and Dorset for ten days
Pembrokeshire for a week
Possibly a long weekend in Norfolk

And we're already spent five days in Italy (for Pompeii). It's a bit ridiculous, really!

We're in Dorset in August, in our first attempt at a B&B (my GF's wary of homophobic B&B landlords).

Not long back from Kalkan - that was our summer holiday!

Absolutely loved the place, especially the Café Del Mar.

That's probably it for this year, although we may do a city break in the autumn. We sat with a bottle of wine the other night and tried to decide between Prague, Vienna, Brussels, Bruges, Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona etc.........all depends on money, though.

To be fair I'm having to do solo holidays and I don't think I'd do 2-3 weeks in peru as a lone male :eek:
 
I've got 5 festivals planned in me camper, I've got 9 days free between two of them but have to be at home for my mum and dads 1,345,986th wedding anniversary though otherwise I'd have fucked off outta here like a shot.

I am working the bar at one festival, then camping at the coast before going straight to boomtown fair though :D

I have been to japan this year, so can't complain I'm not going abroad again, and I'm thinking about 2 weeks in 'nam and cambodia next easter.
 
Another one to carcasonne, coinciding with me tour and a few days in Bournemouth for the great Dorset steam fair.
 
I get very conflicted about summer hols as we live in Poole, seems silly to go on a uk holiday as we live in a holiday destination....then when i look at going 'abroad' i realise i haven't had a passport for over 15 years and get pissed that i need to pay to have one and so talk the wife into staying at home, using the argument that 'we live somewhere loads of people go on holiday to'.........
 
Dear Renegade, I don't get it. I live very close ( within walking distance ) to the centre of the Universe. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of new things to do every single day, yet I still yearn to get away on holibobs much much more than I actually do.

Dear Dog, I am a first aider and can administer a plaster, though not in French very well! I once used to be very good at getting plastered; any good?

BTW; all is booked, flights, accomodation Etc. for a much needed holiday. Our last holday was cancelled due to an emergency admission to hospital for elderly ma in law. It now turns out we may have to cancel this one for scheduled operation to elderly pa in law, date of op not yet known. Bugger!
 
Been camping twice already and had a weekend in Snowdonia last weekend. Will camp 1-2 more times with one planned for 5 days at Shell Island in Wales in August then home & off to Shambala festival which I count as a holiday. Going to Benidorm for a week in July with my sis, neice & nephew..not my choice of destination but will be lovely none-the-less.
 
House swapping with a family near Nantes. Last year's swap was in the Alps and I doubt this one will be as fantastic. But they've got a pool and the drive is a fuck of a lot shorter
 
Seville and Mallorca but circumstances led me to booking the hotel and apartment before the flights. I've now found out that there are no flights into Seville on the date required. :facepalm:

It'll need some minor adjustments (probably lengthened by 2 days or shortened by one) but I've got 5t3IIa on the case, so no drama.
 
We're taking the train from here in Northeast China, right down to Sanya on Hainan island. Staying in a rented apartment for three weeks. :)
 
Nipping off for a quick but quiet week in Vinaros ,it's between Barcelona and Valencia , second week July. Then off to portugal in October .
