So, where do the fundie nutters go from here?

This is the most inane crap I have seen you post yet.

Keep the good work up!

I said a lot. What exactly didn't you like? The town square part? The rest is for real. He's got the symbol already. ;) :D

The town square was the stupidest, but it was all shit. So I figured just call it all out.

By the way do you know how to use the ignore thing? I might need some help with that.

Contact a mod if the simple English instructions on how to put someone on ignore are too difficult. They seem nice and would be glad to help.

But...

before you go tell me your interpretation of what Obama meant when he said he wanted...well...this -

"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

Obviously he doesn't mean he wants a group of civilian seabees. He's talking figuratively (I fucking hope).

Here's a good write on this civilian security force - http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/07/obamas_civilian_national_secur.html

talking about his plan - http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/NationalServicePlanFactSheet.pdf

and a breakdown of it - http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/04/barack_obama_the_community_org.html

"Obama estimates that, when fully implemented, his expanded cafeteria line of community service programs will cost about $3.5 billion per year. (Another example of fuzzy Obamath.) Additional funding is to come from increased taxes on "multinational corporations" and "savings associated with ending the war in Iraq." "

Savings?...as in keep on spending type of savings.

I'd like the Republican Party to focus on restoring the constitution, freedom and sound money. I doubt any of it will happen. Shame because it is a massive open goal.

Sadly, all they really have to do is wait their turn for the elite to put them back in power again.

It's a domestic peace corps to rebuild bridges and stuff like that but yes answerable to the president from the looks of it. He's nuts. Obama will probably come up with some kind of symbol for himself next and have it displayed in every town square. Whatever anyone wants to make of him one thing is for sure - the tax payers are the ones that will pay for his big ideas. If he wants this civilian security force to be as well funded as the military, so he's said, we're in for some trouble or he's in for some failure.

He's more likely to have a spread in Hello! magazine than create of cult of personality. Fuck me, you're one bitter fucker. If McCain had have won, I'm sure you'd be singing a different tune. :D

Nooooooooooooo dilute's NOT a republican have you not been paying attention at all? Just because nearly all his opinions seem to be shared by the republican party is no reason to accuse him of that.

Tbh, it isn't clear what he is...he's quite evasive on that score. Though he was quite happy to get behind McCain on another thread.

Bitter? I'd just be griping about different things. :p I'm not bitter yet. I suspect I will be though.

I'm a free thinker, a rare sort. Sometimes I agree with either side - republican or democrat. But 100% of the time I'd like to read their obituaries. What party is that?

How's that paranoia taste, d-m?

It's sort of an interesting idea though, especially if his economic advisors are telling him a big sucking blackhole of a depression is almost certainly incoming.

That being the case, a vast programme of "New Deal" style, socially useful government funded projects might provide a way to direct federal funding away from the military industrial complex and towards people who just lost their jobs.

If he actually goes ahead with something like that, rather than just forming an adjunct civil affairs force to try to prevent Iraq-type civil collapse next time the US blows someplace up (which is what I'd thought he was talking about), then I'll wager that he doesn't get his first term without an assassination attempt.

I don't know where the best place to post this is, but I just watched this pretty great plea to "fundie nutters" to think about why they voted in favor of Prop 8, banning same-sex marriage in the state of California.

Paranoia? How about simple logic - more stuff means more cost means more taxes. Every election people fall for the same shit over and over. Each time they believe the same shit. An $850 billion bailout doesn't phase them - at election time no less. But why should it? And now Obama is talking about a similar one for the auto industry. Shit why not? Just everybody get in line.
