Alright for those who've got cars I spose ... ;)

OUTSIDE the M25? Even worse than had been indicated by the sound of it ... :(

dear fucking god that was a mission- i left when it finished about 3ish and have only just got in the door! took 4ish hours to get there aswell!

nice friendly party though

how many people were there??

i'm interested as they didnt put the loc up until after last tube and it was way out into the wilderness

a fair few actually especially seeing as a lot of people went to the family groove thing before... both rooms were pretty much full..

Given one of the rigs involved was from Bristol and I'd seen loads of flyers for it over the last 2/3 weeks down here, it's quite possible there were plenty of people there not from London

We do go out and enjoy ourselves out here in the sticks you know... :p

Sorry, that sounded excessively sarky :o My point I suppose is that I'm sure there were plenty of people in this neck of the woods jumping in cars and popping down the M4, Slough's only an hour away

Oh my days. That has properly fucked me up.
I knowingly got in an old hippy van for destination unknown, the wild fucking west. Unbelievable. On this industrial estate just off the M25. When you were there, you were there, there was no going back by yourself. Trapped.
So once I forgot about that for a bit, I was able to enjoy the party. It was so friendly, such a good vibe, tons and tons of effort was made with all the decor (got some photos I might try and dig out later) Extrodinary paintings in the Hekate room, lots of live sets, (it was all quite banging for want of a better word) but very up and good fun.
But oh my god, the wait for my van to return was interminable. My companions being the most hard core of party goers determined to stay to the bitter end, I thought I was never going to get back, I felt quite desperate at one point, almost relieved when the pigs turned up, but they didn't even get out of their car :D, there was no way home by public transport. I just had to wait the long wait.
It was however, a good party, Old School, safe, friendly.
As we finally pulled away, some bloke serenaded us with a mashed up version of "You're beautiful", which made us all laugh as we tucked into some tequila we'd magically found in the van. :D
Respect to Headfuk and Hekate.

londerners live close enough to slough to know not to go there :p

and you, sarky, never ;)

glad i didn't plan on going cos the M25 is slightly too far out for me to get to and back. ah well, hope everyone had a great time.

Twas a reet mission - end of the picaddilly line then another 20-odd minutes in a minicab . . .

Oh and the cabaret involved the bloke in the mad scientist wig in the photo above playing a live set whilst 3 girls dressed as nurses and a bloke as a surgeon pranced about on state giveing another person some kind of 'operation' (lots of fake blood and guts) which then turned into a camp lesh-eating zombie scenario. Very very cool :D

the 81 bus went from 5 minutes walk down the road and went to west hounslow on the picadilly line? took me about an hour and a half to get back to brixton.

fucking good party, even if some of the live act were a little dodgey.

Wish I hadn`t been working !

Like your blog Aurora....Izzy`s pic is great !

Anyway I`m jealous and am knackered so gonna go sulk... :D

.p.

Bristolians live close enough to the south east of England to know not to go there unless there's a decent party to be had :p

Yes but how regularly did the bus come? I'd query it being only a 5 minute walk too... Maybe i was just too fuct. Lalu's feet hurt from fucking silly shoes (gorgeous but silly for a rave) so we walked quite slow.

aurora i thought this was you for a sec

I read all ur personal shit to too :p :D

opinions of the party:
good drum n bass at times, not a lot of modern stuff though (in sound not neccessarily in date i mean). Live acts complete waste of time from the 2 i saw (one fat bird in a leopard suit - good outfit - freestyling total bollox, other band a bit better but all songs more or less the same and the male MC boring) but i always feel perhaps the soundsystems let them down. The hekate room was pretty good until the morning when its breaky glitchy hardcore stuf came on, i've never been a fan of such broken up beats. I rember it being really good earlier tho, saam knows when. Lalu is not prepared to look at it 2 ways and thinks the hekate room was beyond bad beyond belief! The last party i went to by HFK was breathtakingly good, and they had ska band as well which was excellent. The breaks room was excellent palying chunky but modern stuff. Probably all the same DJs so it doesn't make sense, but i really thought this one wasn't up to it. To get people all the ay out to the middle of nowhere for a standard warehouse... The art was excellent tho, and i meant to ask what was happening to the pen drawings, cos i suspect they were done for the party and might have been chucked (they were wicked but not neccessarily being kept like the paintngs), but as the song goes, then i got high

I should also have stayed til it really finished considering the time it took for us to get a bus, but i had such a laugh withn the kids we teamed up with on the way i'm glad i didn't :)

This actually upset a few people I know, ok maybe they are of a nervous disposition and should be taking drugs but it turned a good trip into a dark nightmare.

Great party for me though.

Bunch of pussies mate.

If you're gonna venture outside the M25 you shouldn't be scared by the likes of Jess prancing about on stage.

It was Halloween FFS.

C ya at home ;)

oi that's Excentral the Tempest and she's a unique rapper, maybe not to everyone's taste but heh she tells yer wot she thinks in no uncertain terms. I've got here CD and it's ace.

calling someone a 'fat bird' just isn't on is it?

it is for taxamo, with his progressive radical feminist thinking . . .

I thought she was crap too, maybe the levels were all wrong as I couldn't hear the music, just her ranting away. A few people said they'd heard her up at Gleneagles/G8 summit and she was good there.
