So there is an Ugly Funk at the Foundry on 14th Nov...

Boyfriend and I are hoping to be there, childcare permitting. It's free and it looks well good, does anyone else want to come along?
I haven't been out in an age, would be good to see some faces :)

yes! yes! YES! I have a face! And I heart uglyfunk and erm, well, would totally heart to see you AND at an uglyfunk! Win-a-licious! :D

yeah right, like the crews involved made loadsa money ?, it was an attempt to pay propa security to keep a lid on things, maybe the security made some dosh i just don't think the crews involved lined their pockets. You can't have a £3-5 party forever, there is something called inflation.

flip back to 2003 on Carpenters Road, the whole scene nearly died if i recall.

Well anyhow it's hard to put on a really free party but we are at the Foundry and at least we don't have to go around having this stupid arguments.

hahahahahaha! yeah, the price was about 'security' sure..... the 2 main organisers explicitly stated in a meeting that "anyone who goes to a party is gonna spend a 10er on k so we might as well charge them a 10er, fuck 'em" inflation has nothing to do with it, it's commercialisation and greed pure and simple and if you don't see it then more fool you.... and the organiser walked away with a fuckload of cash, don't think that he didn't. the crews didn't but i'm not talking about that if you stop to think for a second. this isn't a fucking business venture for some of us.

as far as i remember carpenters road circa 2003-2005 was pretty damn lively, not dead at all..

as for his so called security, dodgy racist mercenary ex army cunts not letting rig owners into the party, yeah a big step forward.:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

Wicked, I was just about to put out an APB for you :D

Note that I haven't actually confirmed any childcare yet  so keep your fingers crossed.

This^

Plus it's very rare that you see actual 'security' at squat parties anyway. There were some crews that used decent people but when Malfs (for example) made a fuss about putting it up to a fiver so they could pay for proper security you'd get to the party & it'd still be fucking Stakker on the door. Bunch of lying cunts.

:D I was just about to get all indignant that no one had say "woo! Poots is coming" ;)

How old is Jnr K now? More than 1 eh? I'm not *that* far from the Foundry if I really bomb it on my bike. My flat is pretty child proof. No babies have come to any harm there whilst I've been living there fo'shure. Could we just not set up some baby monitors or something? You'd have to bring your own Tweenies DVD's obvs, but I do have the complete works of The Flumps :)

sorry, i was a bit 'refreshed' when i wrote that last night so possibly a bit over exhuberant :o

You can do security for a fiver. A tenner for a squat rave just isn't cricket.
Don't get me statrted on this subject....

but that (10er squat parties) was a fucking disgrace and an attempt to commercialise the london squat party scene by a certain money grabbing cuntsock

fairplay, i didn't really get involved myself...

fuck paying 15 pounds for a fake 'warehouse' party....mugs

indeed, if however you want to see some of the best electro djs on the planet all on one lineup then £15 isn't too bad. i know that dexorcist has got involved with a few illegal raves in the past but you just won't find most of that lineup or even djs playing that style of music at a proper rave.

Not the point.

Fake warehouse parties and charging over the odds to get into them is for cunts.

So there.

*shrugs*

stay at home and bounce about to acid techno hits 1998 then, i'm gonna have a fucking ball :p;)

Wang looked really good, I said about it to my mate who's birthday it is actually :)

Will probably pop along to the Foundry but will save the raving til the week after at Labrynth's 21st birthday party!! :D

Be nice to see you May!

I am definately going to the Foundry AND Wang.

I really, really need to get my head down and do some uni work at least once this term though (:o ) so I'm prob only going to go to Foundry from early evening and spend a few hours there, rather than be there from kick off, like.

*bump*

Am STUPIDLY excited about his.

Boo! That you aren't going now though OU.

May: are you still coming? *hopeful*
