Ermmm...I bear that in mind!!!
Honey said:Hello - I got a steel string earlier this year. Half an hour later I could play 'Wish you were here.'
Show off!
Thank you...My best advice - play D, G and A. That's chords I, IV and V in the key of D. Listen to how they all sound together.
Similarly G, C and D.
My advice is to make sure you position it properly, not so its flat and you're looking down at the hand shapes!!! You'll get marks on your chest that way.
Also when you are watching telly and there is a break, pick it up and do that chord change you were practising. If you can do it straight off, good on ya.![]()
And don't bite the pads off!
And paint yr nails - they look cool when playing.![]()
Anything by Richard Ashcroft is easy - try the drugs don't work.

A full length mirror is essential when starting out. As are a decent pair of shades and leathers.![]()

lightsoutlondon said:...as well as all the above, I'd recommend getting a half decent guiatr tuner. It makes all the difference when starting out; unless you have perfect pitch.
good luck!

F is fine.8ball said:Don't worry if you have loads of trouble with F and still get a buzz on an acoustic after playing for a year.
There's more than one way to skin the F-cat![]()

It's the A I can't get without a rattlin and a hummin.
