The contracts that stars negotiate for backstage goodies etc are called riders. All stars have them, and some are more unreasonable than others. Wanting an X Box is relatively minor league compared with some, and refusing to perform etc if riders aren't fulfilled, is relatively common.

How can you call it a charity gig when he was paid 150,000? It sounds like another day at work for him.

To me, a charity gig is one where the musicians donate their time or waive their fee, in favour of the charity. Here, they apparently offered to pay him.

I'm not defending him per se, I'm saying that lots of high priced musicians are finicky jerks.

I've no strong feelings either way about him, but if someone acts like a complete and utter cunt - especially when it's for a charity event - then I'm happy to post up about it.

The fact that you can't find anyone else acting like such a jerk suggests that maybe he is a bit special when it comes to playing the egotistical popstar wanker, but if you've got some better recent stories about, say, Phil Collins, I'd be even more delighted to hear them.

Rio Funk is totally filthy but the style is nothing like anything I have heard from the US. (though you could say Electro inspired)

Big US rappers have little impact on the Braslian poor as their shows literally cost a months wages just for the ticket. Baile funk R$5-10 show - imported Rap stars show R$200 - 400.

Also your average Brasilian doesnt speak English so when popular tracks come on the radio they are dancing/humming along to the tune. With no idea if its polictical or about fuckin bitches etc.

Personally i find hin extremely annoying. I listen to local radio and they play California girls by Katy Perry 3 or 4 times a day. Up pops Snoop with his annoying "me too" rap. This causes me to think that the man has no integrity. he is like a hired hand and would pop up on Rolf Harris's comeback single if the money was good enough. His raps are shite and he has little credibility. As you can tell I have thought about this a lot. I have tried to articulate my view point in a polite and courteous manner. In reality I think he is an annoying twat and a musical whore
