Small bands who would be much bigger if they reformed

Humm not one I know. I used to love them and saw them many times. Dolly Parton was my favorate.

I had a listen a few years ago and it turns out they were shit all along. I don't think I have thought the same about any other band.

Must be the Ruby curse.

the Ruby stuff was poor, but Silverfish were ace. that Wiija tour - Gallon Drunk, Silverfish, Therapy? when they were still good - was blinding.

The best Lesley Silverfish track i have is the one she did with the Rockingbirds, covering Your Good Girl Is Gonna Go Bad

Yeah I think I have that but it's still poor.

I will dig them out again tonight. After fat axel, things go a bit down hill anyway.

Therapy? only had one good song. That one about james joyce. Potato junkie I think but they never said which was side one and two so i'm not sure.

China Drum

are  but hardly likely to hit the big time even if they did reform. Although they could re-release Wuthering Heights on the back of the Futureheads nicking their idea with Hounds of Love.

Babyteeth and Pleasure Death were both excellent, before they went all glossy.

The 2 lads? My mate's band were matey with them and LMS. But when they played in Dublin their gear sort of blew up during the 1st song. :( I have LMS stuff but no Indust.

Or am I thinking of someone else.

But the Fall are on fine form at the moment, apparently. It would be a mistake for such a forward-thinking but always-staying-the-same band to go, well, backwards. Anyway, most of their hits during that time were covers - There's A Ghost In My House, Mr Pharmacist, Victoria, etc, etc.
I don't do reality.

this thread makes me sad.

personally if i don't see a hagaddah reuinion soon there's gonna be trouble.

Kenickie were the band who sprang to my mind. They made great, poppish indie, Lauren was/is pretty good-looking and she has her other media exposure now.

you are 100% wrong im afriad. The la's were class. Lee Mavers wrote some excellent songs.

ah - more Beatles-worshipping toss. Really can't be doing with all those cosmic scouser bands - the Coral, The Zutons, Cast..

Hot Snakes
The Sultans
Drive Like Jehu

Although the last aren't officially broken up, they "simply stopped playing".

:(

you cant put Cast in the same sentance as the La's :D

how you cant like a song as funky as 'i cant sleep' is crazy :)

the coral are good.

fuck the zutons, boring.

100% eh, I had better go back and check.

.......

No sorry, you should go back and carry the 3. My calculations clearly show that the LAs were horse shit.

LX2 + A - album + 2Xavert *6 Liverpool_+knobweed
X to the power of lame - good X jingle + one hit wonder = A HORSES DUNG LOAD.
