Not necessarily.

but you could be right bout Polo (plus perhaps some 'classics' like Aquascutum and Daks) and if there are any real sloane-identified labels for the girls i'd say it's probably Laura Ashley/Burberry.

maybe it's the 'accessorising' which makes such bland clothes so innately sloane-ish. the alice band or sunglasses on head matched with the neckscarf or pashmina for girls, cream coloured baseball cap or upturned shirt collar - James Hewitt stylee - for the boys.

tho, I think one of the integral facets of real sloane chic is that they eschew the 'vulgarities of fashion' in much the same way that there is that adage that you can tell a real toff by how old and battered their suitcases are.

I find the hair is always an indication of how sloaney they are . No matter what style they have it in ( even if it's messy sk8r style ) they still look sloaney . My theory is that a parasite lives in the hair and burrows into the brain causing "the sloan effect" this effect is named after Dr Mark Sloan of Diagnosis fame who discovered it while during a break in filming .It was just coincidence that the parasite was attracted to and area of London that matches it's discovererers name very closely
