I like the idea of pjs but sleeping in them is hopeless because they don't turn over when I do so get stuck up my bum :(
Is that just me

Moose, if it's just because you sleep with your arms out of bed what about a big fat duvet and a long sleeve t-shirt, and your socks of course :)

Or leg warmers on your arms.

Nope, its not just you Shirl. I have the same fecking problem. Whatever I do, they seem to tangle up around me (or get stuck up my bum)

And me, it's even worse when I fall asleep in my clothes.:(

I don't wear anything in bed either, unless it's really cold and then I'll put on a pair of socks :p

However I do have a pair of pjs for when I'm staying with friends. They're black linen trousers and a black vest top. Oh ok not strictly speaking pyjamas but they're comfy for sleeping in.

the central heating is switched off at night, actually we haven't had to use it yet, usually have a window open as well

Nope, I have the same problem as well. I find the seams of pyjamas are too wide and stick up my bum when I move.

I usually wear trackie bottoms from Primark - one pair made into shorts, one nylon-type pair and a pair of fleece ones for Winter - all £4 a pop.

Top half, I wear a baggy t-shirt in Summer and a long-sleeve sweatshirt in Winter.

Same here, and never wear clothes to sleep in not matter how cold it gets - usually end up with my feet out of the duvet as well as hate to have hot feet

I forgot to mention something really crucial. Because we have a really thick snuggly duvet in the campervan, sometimes when you turn over, it catches the bottom of the curtains, and they end up draped across the bed, rather than flat against the window, revealing your arse to passing traffic, hence my requirement for something all enveloping :D I'm also hoping for something which is acceptable for scurrying to the washing facilities in the morning at campsites.

I'm liking the Japanese suggestion a lot. :)

In an ideal world I'd be able to get a kind of long-sleeved, below-knee v-necked t-shirt dress in a nice dark colour... or camouflage or something... Why don't army surplus do nighties? :D

Well, tunics & sweater dresses & layering are in this season - so you might be able to find something like that in H&M or Topshop. Might even be prewashed cotton so it looks like nice faded old black :) .

socks are a must for me whatever time of year...and unless it's 30+ pjs bottoms as well. t shirt does me mostly but if it's really cold i put a fleecey top on

never had a problem getting tangled up in the things...you's must be real wrigglers! :D

sorry but that made me laugh! :D reckon the Japanese thing might be the way to go for you...that or an all-in-one top to toe ensemble?! :D

Nothing; in fact the only time I've worn anything in bed (say since I was 16) is when there is someone there who is really just a friend.

i wear nothing too.

my sister wears the rankest nighties ever, like those ones with naff cartoons on the front, and they always have holes in.
I feel sorry for her boyfriend.:D

my sister is comepletely un self-aware though, i constantly pop round and she's plodding around in a pink fraying skanky nighty. i take the mickey mercilessly but she doesn't care. makes me chuckle though.
