Slackers aftershow party - Redstar 30 Sept

I might put in an apperance for this  but how does one decide between house breakin and redstar :(
House Breakin will no doubt be excellent, but I'm old and boring and like the idea of being a 10 min bus ride from home!

So it's Unsound for me.

Slackers have got to do their gig in town, then get to the redstar and set up etc, so i'm hoping they'll start after PROD so i can see them

That was absolutely superb -- my best RedStar visit in a while

Caught the last 5 or 6 or so songs by the Slackers who I was very impressed by. Then straight into well over an hour of fantastic tunes with Jerry Dammers, who really knows how to select some brilliant stuff -- old school ska and roots were ruling that dancefloor!

arrgghhh... this night was sick... big up Bigga for the dancehall vibes. good atmosphere, big up everyone willing to share... er... certain things :D lol

only downsides: too many jumpy-jumpy needles. :D
I went outside for a bit to cool off, and they wouldn't let me back in. and it was FAR TOO HOT in there. bad enough upstairs, but downstairs was like a sauna. :(

I do like the venue though still.
Definitely reachin next week for badboy Kenny Ken. :)

couldn't cope with the heat or squish for very long :o

the bus home was full of very clean, very young punks :D

obviously not the bus I got, then... nothing but beef all the way. After seeing someone attacked at the bus stop, followed by all the trouble on my way home, I'm surprised we aren't reading about more statistics this morning. bad vibes all the way. :(

Absolutly brilliant to see Unsound that full again. The Slackers performed completely to type and Hue Jah Fink's breaks were sick. Great to run into so many people from my UCL days as well.
