Sky Sports vs Setanta

According to the Virgin media website, if you get the XL TV package you will get Setanta for free even if you don't have Sky Sports:

That's how I read it anyway. Great news for me :)

That is correct. I've just upgraded to XL.

I was hoping I'd be able to watch Serie A games this season, it's news to me that Five now has the rights. Makes no odds which channel has it, as long as I can watch it.

It's the girl who played the Aussie in this latest Big Brother. And she does have great tits.

I don't get it, the Big Brother that's currently running? I don't watch it but how can she be playing an Aussie, I thought it was 'reality tv'?

Not to take away from the tits or naffin.

Ok, I'm being overly grumpy. If I had to have it, I'd have Setanta - No one possibly needs the amount of football on Sky. There is more to life.

what's wrong with the radio :p :D

Ok think we're gonna get Setanta, but is there a signing on fee? We need to get a new freeview box as the one we use now doesn't have a card socket and my mate has seen something in Argos that's £50 and includes 1 month subscription to Setanta and the signing on fee is included.

But I can't see any mention of a signing on fee on Setanta's website (and do we need a card socket on our freeview box?)

AFAIK Setanta charge a £10 connection fee if you sign up over the phone, but they don't if you subscribe online.

You'll need the new box as you need a box which is capable of decoding the Setanta picture. You may as well get the Argos package if you get Setanta, as there aren't many other places that do the boxes with card slots.

Get it from Tescos, it's only £40 for the same box.

Yes you need a card slot, but obviously this is included in the Setanta freeview box package.. seems the best one for the money.
