That sounds perfectly rational. And this season is much worse, so far.
I HATE this new series. Skins 1 and 2 were really watchable and I looked forward to it. I doubt I will bother to watch any more of this series, if I want rubbish acting, unbelieveable and boring stories I will watch the regular soaps. Which I never do. So why would I watch this.
The lead boy drank and drank (how many tequila shots??), took nuff drugs, ate a whole chocolate cake, got smacked in the nose and bled everywhere, landed on a table full of food...and his t-shirt was in pristine condition after all that. He wasn't slurring his words, he never even gagged a bit and his eyes were the eyes of a boy who has slept a good sleep an hour ago.
Completely and utterly unbelieveable. Not even very funny. That bit with the uncle asking those boys to pull his finger. WTF.
I am SO disappointed.

Really enjoyed this. It was so stupid and far removed from reality. Identical twins ffs. It reminded me of a US collage/teen movie. Except set in the uk and desprite to be edgy. Switch off brain, have laugh, perv at hot cast. I'm not sure if it will hold my attention for long though.

I was mentally listing the things that were ridiculous about tonights episode, but I lost track when I got close to twenty... I'm beginning to think that the writers are having a massive laugh seeing how long they can get away with being paid for this shit, and have no idea why so many big names are in it. Still - I can't stop watching!

No, I will watch it. I knew I'd watch it from day one. It's just a given for me.

I didn't see any of series 1 and 2 so the Skins experience is new to me. It's ludicrous, obviously, and yet horribly watchable at the same time. She's a ridiculous stereotype, but I love Pandora - to me she's easily the most sympathetic character. Is Cook meant to be quite so much of a cunt or is he what passes for cool and edgy amongst teens these days?
Also, it's probably not a good idea to introduce a black character and make him 1) an illegal immigrant, 2) a drug dealer and 3) really good at music - we'll probably find out he's great at the 100m soon too.

When he was talking about his skills at the interview, he said he could "run as fast as a gazelle" or words to that effect. The character is borderline racist.

The sad thing is I suspect the writers think they're smashing stereotypes of illegal immigrants by making Thomas such a lovely, talented, hard-working bloke – unfortunately it kind of has the opposite effect; just reinforcing them all a bit further.

Adam and Joes analysis is bang on. The cast reminded me of a modern day version of the types that would drink a can on shandy on a school trip, pretend they were pissed then form 'a relationship' on the coach on the way only to have a dramatic 'break up' on the way back. I'm thinking it possibly appeals to 11 year olds who think this is what awaits them or appreciators of the up the skirt shot.

Yeah. The first series was good though. It was.
It's just stupid now, none of the characters are believeable. Pandora just wouldn't exist or be friends with those girls.
