Size 12 feet

Skateboarding shoes usually go up to size 12 or 13, plus they're some of the most comfortable, well padded shoes you'll find - not to mention durable as they're designed for rubbing against sandpaper all day long! Fr'instance, that shoe you posted a pic of is an iPath skate shoe. They're not too cheap, but they also don't get quite as expensive as some of the trendier brands (Nike etc). Cheapest you'll find a mainstream adult-size skate shoe will be about 40-50 quid, but they never get more than 95 quid for the most high-tech of space age moonboots. TKMaxx also tend to have discount skateboarding shoes in lots of sizes.

Dunno whether you'll find many smart-looking pairs tho:(

I can PM you some decent shops for these if you like

I've got size 13 feet :-( so I have permanent alerts set on Ebay.

1. day to day

Bog standard patent leather shoes - no problem - can even get a "vegan" version.

Ellesse once did a nice blue Nubuck shoe - the size 12 fitted me perfectly - I must have had the last 3 pairs in town - I was briefly stylish in the mid-late 90s ... now of course discontinued

As has been mentioned before, sk8 shoes - thanks due to Squelch for recommending those - but FityFifty had 1 solitary pair of size 13 shoes in the whole shop. The shop was so vague about ordering I bought my second pair of Etnies from http://www.bigsize.co.uk/.

Sk8 shoes are almost like 50s "beetle crushers" so are great for walking around on concrete floors all day like I do at work, but the soles are flat so they aren't ideal for serious walking.

2. Walking

Saw some perfectly serviceable Regatta shoes for 30 quid a pair which would have been perfect for the odd jaunt in the country but they stop at size 11  so I am in the process of choosing a 70 quid pair online.

3. cycling

If you're one of those lycra-clad types who likes to be mechanically clamped ("SPD") to the pedals, there are plenty of specialised shoes available. If you're a slightly podgy middle-aged pedal stomper like me - and hence need some rubber on the instep - it's a major headache. Shimano make the only suitable cycle-specific shoe but their "size 13" was too small
I have just managed to obtain a pair of "retro" Reeboks which have turned out to be OK with the stiffeners from my holey Shimanos (a near-perfect discontinued style that did fit :( )
