Sitting to watch football.

No I didn't.

Now troll off.

I was pleased to note that all the Cardiff fans around me sat for just about the entire duration of the FA Cup final.

I look forward to my apology :D ;)

To end the unintentional derail started by a harmless dig at the precious Cardiff massive, Non League is obviously the way forward and i'd encourage anyone to go support their local side as much as they can - the football's often pretty crap, but for the wandering around the terrace unexpectedly meeting people you know from the community while all following a common cause, it can't be beat.

It was, of course, a typo: I meant to say that they stood the entire time, as the photos prove.
hmm, had there been a photo taken at every minute then, yes we might believe you. but instead, i think those pics are just from the three minutes prior to the match as the crowd welcome the team to the pitch

:p

it's hard to stand all game when you are in the middle of the stand and everyone around you is sat down. you get bread rolls thrown at you. :(

Err, they're not. You can even see the players on the pitch in the middle one, you plonker. I stood for almost all of the game as did most of the people around me. Wanna see some more pics?

Still, I can understand how you might have forgotten what it's like to be at a FA Cup final.

:D

We still stand up in the lower north stand at Portman Road, the stewards have given up trying to make us sit down as they know it wont work!

24 quid to stand up with a seat behind you, teriffic!!!

BRING BACK THE TERRACES!!!!

Zing! :D

I was at the FA Cup final and stood for the entire match.

I was at the final towards the half-way line supporting Cardiff trying to stand up as much as possible and was pilloried by the gents and executives sat all around us disgusted by our inclination to stand on our feet and take part in the fantastic experience rather than sit on our fat spotty arses letting the whole thing wash over us. I had an altercation with the office boys directly behind me complaining that they couldn't see if me and my mate stood up whenever anything remotely exciting was happening. Fair enough. Just. The tossers guilted us into sitting down for much of the first half, and then fucked off and went to buy over priced chicken and chips with 15 minutes of the half left. Absolute pumpers!

Sitting sucks.

Shit like that makes my blood boil.

I suffer from football tourettes but it's not my fault the refs are so fucking shit. I honestly try every match to not swear, there's even announcements before the matches at Bramall Lane asking people "to consider those around you and refrain from using foul/offensive language" (altho tellingly there were no such announcements when Bryan Robson was manager). Unfortunately, after biting my tongue for so long and the ref does something absolutely disgraceful I just let rip, usually because everyone else is shouting and I think people can't hear me. Unfortunately that's my seal broke for the rest of the match and the next time the ref makes a bad decision you can often hear me scream "you fucking cunt ref" at the top of my voice.

I sit in the family stand :(

BTW for all you Bluebirds on here I watched the Cup Final and yes the Cardiff fans were standing for the majority of the game, and good on them!!!

If you'd got to the Cup Final for the first time since 1927 wouldn't you throw yourself heart and soul into it???

Standing is where its at folks, dont let the bastards make us sit!!!

Stand up, if you love football!!!

Love and terraces.
