Sultans of ping worst band I've seenSaw them at the Royal Albert Hall in 1987. Have to say it was the worst gig I have EVER seen.
And I've seen T'Pau live too.
Matchbox 20 (I think they were called) was mine. Glastonbury, in the mud. Utter fucking direness punctuated by between-song banter like 'Woo baby you're awesome!' to some poor unfortunate down the front. However, they proved to be the perfect warmup act for Rocket From The Crypt who were on after, were genuinely awesome and showed them how it should be done.Sultans of ping worst band I've seen

Oh yeah. There's nothing like having a pop at the crowd because you're shit. A real winner, that. Saw Mani of Primal Scream berate everyone for not dancing one time when they were playing loads of new, slow songs. Gig fizzled out more. No encore if memory serves. He probably still thinks he was right.Sultans of ping at the powerhouse (?) in Harlesden 22 years ago, singer started laying into the audience and the performance was pisspoor
He's the 'Head of Drums' in Berlin!Budgie was a cracking drummer.

Considering that she used to sport a swastika armband and sung about "too many jews for my liking", it's a tad hypocritical of her.I liked them back in the day, but after I went to see them in the early 80s at a gig in Munich where I grew up, I went off them. Siouxsie seemed to be in a bad mood and taunted the audience that we were all Nazis. This didn't go down well with a crowd of kids who were into punk, politically on the left/anarchists and many of them queer, who were appalled at the burden of history the generation of their grandparents had left them with. My friend had a backstage pass but we didn't bother after that.
I've never seen this video before and it's a real curiosity! Check out Rob Smith!
