Silliest/Worst Station name in the UK.

Winnersh Triangle is named after the nearby Triangle Industral estate, not the fact that it is a junction.

It's not a triangular junction anyway, trains from Reading head after ther, either to London Waterloo or onto the North Downs line towards Gatwick.
There are no Waterloo- North Downs Line trains via there nor afaik, any connection in that direction.

Besses o' t' Barn on the (now Metrolink) to Bury from Manchester Victoria was one I always liked.

Ore in Kent is quite odd.

Though they must have saved on the lettering on the platform signs.

Carshalton Beeches was a grave disapointment to find it wasn't by the sea when I went as a young kid

And finally not a stupid name as such but Denham Golf Club. Imagine a golf club having it's own station - it must be posh!

Dove Holes in Derbyshire. Been past and never seen any doves! It is a bit of a hole though.

I stand corrected. I was under the impression it was still on a junction, and assumed everything from there...
