i voted for shaky

The first ever tape I bought was Showaddywaddy (records came later for me). I'd just been given one of those grey oblong tape recorders with one speaker and a pull-out handle at the top. I had a pound to spend and bought the tape from Woolies with it. I'm not sure (aside from it only being a pound) why I chose them.

my boyfriend apparently was such a shakey fan that he dressed up as the great welsh knee-bender especially for the royal wedding in 1981!

he swears blind there's no photographic evidence but i'm not so sure.

personally, i'd go for showaddywaddy because:

1) i used to quite fancy dave bartram when i was six
2) Under the Moon of Love is quite a good tune
3) they toured with einstuerzende neubauten!!

I voted for Shaky as his song Marie Marie was having lots of airplay when I was having a very nice teenage romance with a girl called Marie. Mmmm! can still see her lovely big arse even now in my minds eye.
