This is fine
The Portuguese call it ‘ plastic food’ and say unlike restaurants people don’t complain if the food is shite .
A lot of stuff is actually shit as a delivered takeaway. Kebabs, middle eastern stuff like shawarma or falafel wraps, mexican etc, basically anything involving bread, shite delivered. Don't cope with transit.
The worst delivered takeaway food I ever had was from a town centre generic fried chicken bar via JustEat. God knows what possessed me to order it in the first place, but they’d dumped onion rings straight out of the fryer into a polystyrene carton, which had melted circular imprints of where the rings had first touched it. The string fries were soggy and unseasoned and I can’t even remember what the main dish was, just that it was godawful. Probably some fried chicken I suppose.
And no, I didn’t complain. The Portuguese have that right. No wonder takeaways shovel out shite, when justeat and ubereats bring them an unending stream of punters, no matter how bad the product.
