As an aside cutting out takeaways has really helped me lose weight recently.

Am off for a delicious chinese now though :D

I had an extremely disappointing chinese takeaway the other night. I find it almost impossibile to get decent chinese food anywhere.
There are basically no good Chinese takeaways, just places that do pale imitations of Chinese food that will appeal to white people. Try and make friends with the owners, then ask if they can cook you what they'd cook to eat themselves, and you might get something half decent.

Have one great kebab place and a decent Indian place
The usual acceptable chain pizza places

Chinese takeaway/delivery is not something I ever crave/want to be honest.

I got an excellent Chinese takeaway for the wife this lunchtime, loads round here.
ETA She had a sudden craving for shredded pork in sweet bean sauce:

You wrap the various bits up in the tofu skin. Some versions use very thin flatbread. Twenty dumplings too.

After having Chinese food in China I don't think I could go into our local Chinese takeaway ever again.

We have a pretty decent choice thinking about it.

Chinese we get from Noodle St and Indian from The Tale of India, both delivered and both pretty good, and funnily enough both near each other in Westferry, we've never been to either tho'. We have 2 Turkish close by and both are decent. A Lebanese place I love but the missus isn't too keen on, a great fish and chip shop and a decent independent pizza joint, a few very decent traditional small kebab shops - and all the usual places like McD / KFC etc.

Top of our road is our local curry house which we've been going to for 25 years, but not so much the last cpl of years due to an incident but might give it a go again, have met several big name stars  of TV in there.

I quite fancy a takeaway/delivery now.
