Should I complain to Tesco?

Maybe just write a letter explaining what happened.
Close by saying 'I am sure that you would want to be made aware of this' or something similar?

They may do nothing
They may give you some vouchers and do nothing
They may give you some vouchers and do something

What would you be complaining about, the fact the receptacle was full, or the fact you injured yourself?
And what actions would you want Tesco to take as a result of your complaint?

Yep, the carrier bag recycling bins are always full, whatever bloody supermarket it is. That's why people tend to leave the bags they can't get in by the side of them.

What were you thinking of, woman, shoving them in with considerable force? I'm always wary of putting my hands into someting I can't see into!

Ah yes compensation culture. You complain, get some vouchers, tell a mate, they do it too and then the store withdraws the recycling because the bins are too dangerous, well they must be as they are getting claims. Trivial claims yes but is it really worth the legal costs / paperwork hassle? Nope so the recylcling gets it in the neck because of people whinging over a ickle bitty scrape.

Shut-up, they could change the design of the bins you know

This must be the daftest thread I've read in a little while.

You want to tick some unsuspecting bod off in a supermarket because you were silly enough to thrust your hand into a recycling outlet with force, hurting yourself as a result of your own ill advised clumsiness? Wouldn;t you have been better advised to notify someone at the supermarket before you got all thrusting with the bag store?

Am I missing the point?

Youre sure of a lot of things, though. Aint yah? youre wrong, though.

I made a comment about complaints and the compensation culture. The fact that Geri started the thread and shes a woman is completely incidental. The fact that you jumped in to defend her against such a mild comment marks you as the sexist. Some fucking knight in shining armour or what? :p

Which of course has nothing to with your three year multi-board grudge against that poster, a grudge that was comprehensively demolished as being being based on a story that that someone told you that proved to be utterly 100% wrong. You're old enough to know better too.

I haven't asked for compensation for my injury, I have written to them pointing out that they may wish to consider either emptying the bin more often, or removing the rubber strips that caused me to injure my hand.

Of course I would welcome some vouchers, if they saw fit to send me some. :)

I didn't want to leave the bags at the side where they might get blown away and cause a mess :(
