I've just had an email telling me I've been awarded 'the equivalent of university and college fees for your MPhil'.

I'm:

a) speechless; and
b) thinking that that's a whole lot of books

The folk devils book is well alright actually - but le carre's more of an acquired taste

The Spy Who Came In From The Cold kept me up until gone 1 last night

Fucking amazing. I thought he'd gone. I really thought he'd gone. What a fucking chap, eh? Leamas - fair fucking play.

Reading a good book is my main break from, uh, reading good books atm

Finished Becker; well on with Cohen; read a third phat booklet today

(NB: I received my reading list today; this, combined with a complete lack of any self-control (and a love of sniffing new books) explains some of today's bookism )
