I used to live half a mile away from there in Penshaw. No one wants to be close to Shiney Row.

Oh my, both are already on life licence for previous murders.

This will be used to further the calls that have been made regarding Worboys’s release and just today the cunt who chucked acid in Katie Piper’s face had been mooted for release. Whilst these people are utter scum, public anger, even more so when whipped up by tax-dodger-owned media, should not really have a place in the justice system.

The jury might not know of that kind of speculation. I'd rather see em in gaol than see em on the streets if they're guilty.
Reporting your post, nothing personal at all, just because afaik this is still sub judice.

Its in the public realm after coming up in the case - both have convictions for murdering pensioners.Didnt want to say anything earler as it was not disclosed, now it is out there. these two are fucking vermin.

    Awful.

Seems like some involvement in Vietnamese mafia dealings prior to this too so I wouldnt imagine these 2 scumbags will last long, whatever happens in court.

Vile, absolutely vile. This is a couple of miles up the road from me. The name Unwin is definitely ringing a bell but I can't place him yet. I have friends in Houghton and Shiney who might remember better than me. Hope the two of them rot.

breach of licence didnt help obvs - they met each other inside whilst both were doing time for murder.

Second, unrelated murder is the threshold for whole life, quite rightly.

I saw this thread when it was originally posted. I am at a loss to comprehend how humans can behave like this, it is truly awful. Also how on earth did both of them get let out on license after both of them killed pensioners? I mean killing anyone is bad enough unless it was in self-defence and you were in fear of your life, but pensioners? Just wtf? :(

Most murderers will eventally get out on licence, and of those a very large majority of them (around 97.8% in one study from 2013) do not reoffend at all - largely because theres a lot more support, treatment, and probation management for them, plus of course the threat of withdrawing the licence is a pretty big stick to have over someones head.

God knows what happened with these two though.

Probation (guessing it is they who monitor those on life license?) should really be ensuring that killers do not associate with other serious criminals upon their release, such orders are commonplace for bail conditions and so on, so shouldn’t be too hard to implement. Whether that would have made any difference in this case I have no idea, but having two scumbags on life licence free to socialise it is easy to see how they could construct a somewhat warped worldview...

Probation is fucked. it is either deepy underfunded and often structurally demotivated and/or is being farmed out to private firms who do the absolute minimum.
