the whole albumn is great but soycd is just fucking awesome

Blimey, you wait ages for a Floyd thread and then two come along at once!
Wish you were here is one of my favorite PF albums.

I saw them do it at Liverpool Empire back in the 70's can't remember the year, but I've still got the programme and it cost 15p.

They did that, a track off that flying pig record (many years in the future at that stage) and "Wish you were here" (still to be released) as the first half, then Dark Side (which was their then-current release) as the second half.

I like the intro to it is lovely.. very .. erm... out there. The trouble is that you really need to take half a day off work just to listen to any pink floyd track.

Ah nice one Geldof.

All you trendies slag of Pink Floyd then you had to watch watch them at Live8 after all that the modern era of pop could provide and you realised that PK sound pretty fucking good.

That'll learn yer :p

- ooh, vicar-

i surely hope this thread won't turn into such a rabid "prog/not-prog" slanging match as the "previous" ones....:D :D

one of there few interesting albums.

not that I believe Syd turned up to 'do his bit' as the tales have it.

and Roy Harper is the best thing on the album

Listening to Floyd brings back memories of smoking hash as a schoolboy.

welcome to the machine is another classic off that album.

Wish You Were Here is my favourite PF album.
