Shifting music to you ipod from your pc

I've got a 3rd gen iPod (the one just before the iPod Video) and AFAIK it's a proper USB cable since I can transfer files as well as charge it up.

So this ephpod enables me to transfer files FROM the iPod TO the PC, and not require me to wipe out all the stuff on my iPod just to download a couple of files?

Apparently, but you'll still need the drivers. All that info is elsewhere in this thread.

Finally got it working. needed usb 2 card and the proper cable. Now there's a big logo flashing saying DO NOT DISCONNECT!

But at least I can move tunes to it
