they weren't the best band in the world obviously, but they had their moments. there was something vaguely useless about the sheds that i found quite endearing - they were about as far away from cool as you could get. compared to many of landfill indie bands of today, styled to fuck and bland to the core, the sheds seem ok. there's plenty of other bands i'd hate before i got round to them, bless them.

They were top of my list for bands to hate at one point. Fuck bless them

Bunch of big headed mouthy little cunts. I was in the Spread Eagle in Camden one night years ago having a couple of pints with a mate when they walked in and sat at the table next to us. Got talking to them and straight away they were doing the 'we're Shed Seven, we're really famous we are' kind of thing. I just went 'oh you're them lads from York', which totally wound up one of them who kept insisting they were from Manchester. I was laughing as i knew they were from York, so i was saying things like they shouldn't deny their roots and pretend they were from somewhere else just to sound cooler. This one guy in the band started getting really aggressive about it and mouthing off and being quite obnoxious. My mate got up to go to the loo and when she was out of earshot they were calling her a fat pig and making honking noises. This really wound me up so i had a go at them for their rudeness. They just carried on. By time my mate got back from the toilet i was at the stage of inviting them outside for a further discussion about it. My mate surveyed the scene and dragged me out of the pub before i punched one of them :D

Nasty rude little boys and all because they didn't want anyone to think they were from York

If i remember correctly the singer fella wasn't there though. I'm not surprised if they rest of the band acted like that to two girls having a quiet drink in a pub. I wouldn't want to hang out with them either...

As Helen Love said, "Chris Evans and, Shed 7 will, save the UK music scene". Sung with no irony at all of course. ;) :D
