"She really don't like it,

Billy Bragg (Levi Stubbs' Tears) said:
And her husband was one of those blokes
The sort that only laughs at his own jokes
The sort that war takes away
My sister said:
And her husband was one of those blokes
The sort that only laughs at his own jokes
The sort that walks tied to a whale
 x 1000

The Sound of Music by Joy Division.
Instead of:

"See my true reflection,
Cut off my own connections,
I can see life getting harder,"

I thought i was hearing :

See my true reflection,
Put on my open necked shirt,
I can see life getting harder.

In Going Underground by The Jam there's a line which sounds like:

Flying sheep on my TV screen.

I haven't checked to see what it actually is.

Sister Sledge - He's the Greatest Dancer

I heard: 'Just let me staple the vicar'
The lyric: 'Just let me state for the record'

He was a sk8er boi
She said see ya later boi
He wasn't good enough for her
Now he's a superstar
Swimmin' in his cattargh...

I know it obviously isn't that, but I prefer it...

Theres always the lament on the misery of constipation in led zeps classic 'when the levee breaks'

'If i keep on straining the lav is gonner break'

And Sara brightmans 1978 hit

'I lost my fart in a draft excluder'

"Semi-gear heart attack" on 'Up Town Top Ranking'. In their army/combat shirts, I thought perhaps 'semi-gear' was an engineering term, and that Althea & Donna were car mechanics?:confused::o

semi listening to Radio one half asleep has got recently surreal - Biffy Clyro - Mountains sounded like head for the mamories (full of memories), hope my teeth won't break (think that actually is the second lines lyrics:eek:)
Kids by MGMT seems to be full of referances to bees honey and trees honey (don't know the real words)

Pants and cheese....

'What a feeling' by Irene Cara - 'Take your pants down and make it happen'.

'You've got the love' by Candi Staton/Source - 'Sometimes I feel like throwing my pants up in the air'.

'Against All Odds' by Phil Collins - 'We shared the laughter and the pain. We even shared the cheese'.

Audioslave - Your time has come 'I've been wanting a sandwich'
Girls Aloud - The Promise - keep hearing the chorus as either love is not hate/love will not wait or God Is Not Great, God Is Not Great

Dave Allen once said that when he was a child, coming from a large family he went to quite a few funerals and he thought the priest said "in the name of the father and the son and into the hole he goes".

^ brilliant :D

not a misheard lyric but a misheard album title - could've sworn Razorlight's new album was going to Slippery Fires, and just this second relistening to Lou Reed - Satellite of Love, I'm very disappointed to find it's not full of pork and cars :o
