Far too many to list, including about a dozen of those mentioned above. So, I've arbitrarily limited it to five (of the top of my head, though I'll be kicking myself for missing something immediately):

    Galaxie 500 - On Fire
    Grant Lee Buffalo - Fuzzy
Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden
Jesus and Mary Chain - Darklands
    Neil Young - Live Rust

    Heartattack and Vine
    Swordfishtrombones
    Rain Dogs
    Alice

My mum's reaction when she heard me listening to Black Flag: "That sounds desperate! THIS is why you're so angry."

[62] This week the score draws are plentiful

Everything Godspeed You! Black Emperor have ever done, but especially Lift Your Skinny Fists... Never tire of it. Even when I'm not listening to it I just like to ruminate on the words 'Terrible Canyons of Static'. Best title ever.

Same probably goes for Peng! by Stereolab.

Nobody listens to Black Flag for their mum's approval. I picked up a mint Black Flag compilation in a record shop in Melbourne, for next to nothing; not seen it anywhere else before or since.

First saw them at Wolverhampton Civic Hall in October ‘93, supporting The Almighty. Loved them ever since, although once getting to work with Ginger was a lesson in a “never meet you idols” kind of way :hmm:

I allow them. Technically Nirvana - Unplugged is a live album. But also there are some bands who’s best of’s are better than any individual album (I also had Super Furries - Songbook, Led Zep - Remasters, and Madonna - Immaculate Collection for those reasons)

Exactly this. That's why I included Buzzcocks' "Singles Going Steady" and Minor Threat's "Complete Discography". And let's face it, how many bands are kind enough to release their complete discography on one CD?

There’s quite a few artists who I have personally made my own version ‘Best Of’ album because I don’t like all the tracks on any specific one album of theirs.

Orbital are a good example of that. Some killer tunes, enough for a top 10 all time favourite album if they released all my favourites on one disc, but they’ve never had one album which I’ve liked all the way through.
