I was pretty disappointed with the final episode but it was a good series

i reckon he will and it will bring paddy and mimi back together again. but i kind of expect them to get back together in the first few episodes and it just be like straight back to normal like nothing ever happened.

We have just watched series 1-7 in about 3 weeks

We have both really fallen in love with it

yes, there are 2 episodes left in this series, then its dead forever. Im sure there'll be the odd xmas special or sommat. The writer seems to be doing quite well in the states, US shameless, and US skins are both being made (the US shameless is actually quite good).

I will probably buy or download all of it

I'm sure I've mentioned this before but Paul Abbott's father and my mother are cousins. Paul based a lot of the early stuff on his (my ) family
I have never seen Shameless.

Never liked this programme from day one - And i've been vindicated. First two serieses were filmed on the Bennett Street estate in West Gorton. That estate predictably got a bad name as the "Shameless estate" and is now being partially demolished/redeveloped. This iconic bad boy and it's sister block are for the chop . As a direct result of Shameless there's now less council housing in Manchester.

Amusingly though, after series two, it was no longer viable to film on Bennet Street coz locals were hassling cast/crew for money for filming on their estate - Which is fair enough IMO, wankstain actors struttting and fretting their hour round a council estate playing at being residents of that estate whilst the best thing actual residents can hope for is roles as extras - Disgraceful. If there's one thing you'll always find on any estate it's untapped talent - Why not give the residents themselves a go in front of the cameras and fuck the actors off?
