I'll do it for you. Save a fucking fortune and it won't hurt nearly as much as if you get it done in the salon. Them fuckers don't care, they just slap it on until your scalp peels off, then rinse it off with boiling hot water.

I, on the other hand, have a gentle touch and some neutral conditioner. ;)

Anyway, I reckon you should just go for it. I ummed and aahed about going red for ages and now I can't imagine not being ginge. I know blonde is more drastic in a way but still, DO IT.

How long's your hair then? With enough prep & planning there's nothing my mobile salon cannot accomplish! You start with the longest bits, give it half an hour, rinse and repeat, working up towards the roots.

I think I dreamt I was a hair stylist once and now I'm starting to believe it. :eek:
 
I used to bleach an ex of mine's roots on a regular basis. I got pretty good at it, too.

We could bleach your hair as a group effort, Pieface. Perhaps at the next Offline?

I meant that blonde hair with dark brows looks good. I have invisible eyebrows. They're absurd. And thank you tanky - I'm not going mad.

Are you serious ES? Can you really bleach other people's hair and not turn it orange?
 
I think part of me is secretly wanting to do this and then wear a satin slip round town with some fishnet tights on.

If I do start going that direction anyone on this thread is completely entitled to slap me round the face.

With the right tools anything is possible. A bit of orange is to be expected if you only do it the once, but the trick is to leave it half an hour, 45 mins tops, then rinse and repeat until you get the desired colour. And always do the longest bits first cos they take twice as long to take.

A peroxide wash is a good place to start, strips out a lot of your natural colour before you start bleaching the fuck out of it.

I used to dye my hair white-blonde, but lately I don't have the patience so I just do it yellowy and then add colours like pinks, blues and reds etc.

My favourite hair ever was the kid from Eerie Indiana, the little bad kid with big shock of grey-white hair. I tried that once... dyed it blonde, then added 'old man grey-in'... didn't really work out though!!
 
trashy blond with fucked up eye make up and slightly smudged lipstick ftw, oh and sleep on your hair so it goes tatty before going out.

The only time I tried to bleach mine, was after having it black for a year.

It didn't go well. Had to take the bleach off after a while as my scalp was burning, and it came out triplicate - roots were white, middle section was orange, and the bottom bit was dark red

I quite liked it after a while though - at least no one else had hair that colour :D
 
I'm too old and erm, healthy looking for that Veronica bird's get up....seriously - I go jogging. Girls like that don't go jogging.

Fuck exercise to stay in shape, just take loads of drugs and eat one meal a day, works for me. :D
