Perhaps you might elaborate on your "racially aggravated assault" claim because the only mention of race I can see is some unspecified person (not Lydon) allegedly saying Okereke had a "black attitude," which, of course, could be taken any manner of ways.

Hmm - well no one really seems sure what 'black attitude' means so I guess you're right that it could be taken a number of ways. As for the 'unspecified person', I said much earlier in the thread that any number of people could end up in your 'entourage' if you're a band of the profile of the Pistols on an international tour.
It also seems very strange to me that someone of Lydon's history should suddenly go a bit racist in his fifties - that doesn't smell right.
It doesn't seem right that Okereke (never sure if I'm spelling that right) should entirely invent such a thing out of jealousy either. You may admire your heroes but you don't get jealous of them (ime).
Obviously neither of us know what really happened but what I was reacting against was you seemingly saying the guy from Bloc Party was a twat for contacting the police. If you were saying he was a twat for inventing a racist attack, and then contacting the police, then I'd agree entirely, but that's not how the thread reads.
