The seam ripper:

I'm not posting another pic of my boobs, Johnny, so stop offering your unasked for advice :D

Maybe she likes having smoke blown up her ass. Or, she can make a couple of small adjustments, and then wear the dress out in public without people thinking her boobs look lopsided. The choice is hers. :)
Shoo. Hop it. Get lost. Scoot.

May I have some more help with this dress, please? :)

The dress is all stitched, I've put the zip in, and then stitched together the lining. The dress and the lining are currently separate. I'm having trouble putting in the lining as I can't visualise how the steps in the instructions will work.

It says: With right sides together, pin lining to dress, matching seams. Stitch neck and armhole edges. Trim. Understitch lining. Then turn lining to inside.

In fact here's a pic, as it'll be easier to see that the instructions show the wrong side of the lining, consistent with the right side being together with the right side of the dress, but it doesn't show the dress.

If I put the right sides together, how do I get the lining to turn inside? I've already tried it as I thought it said, but had to unpick as I can't get it turn in over both the neck and the armholes. It's like a bloody moebius strip and I'm very confuddled. Please help! :D

Ah. See now, I've looked better at subsequent steps, which suggest that the shoulders shouldn't yet have been stitched. And I think I can see how that would make the difference.

However, step 5 of the pattern very clearly told me to stitch the shoulders, and depicted it. Then it said to stitch the lining in the same way as the dress, ie including the shoulders.

So should I unpick the shoulders?

Boudicca ? RubyToogood ? :)

Yes, unpick the shoulders.

You have to leave an edge open to be able to turn the armhole. Sometimes it's the shoulder and sometimes the side seam. Fold the seam allowance down as per the picture and sew as accurately as you can, because the width of each side needs to be exactly the same to get a neat shoulder seam.

A sleeved version would be done differently, so my bet is that step 5 refers to a sleeved version and step 15 to a sleeveless one.
