Regarding your "sucking up" comment; I'll happily admit that I find Rachamim's postings interesting. Regardless of whether I agree or disagree with him, he is a clearly intelligent, eloquent individual. You and one or two others are (relatively speaking of course) unintelligent, with only the aim of shouting him down and destroying debate by constant shouts of "liar, liar" and demands for links.

A more intelligent poster than yourself would rebut his claims with argument. You are unable to do this so you resort to "liar, liar" and "links, links".

Equally a more intelligent poster would take time to read some of the debates that have taken in place in this forum with Rach. It would appear that you and others seem unable to do this and resort to claims of bullying of people that don't 'tow the line' or sticking facile labels like 'Zionist are scumbags' on forum users who object to the behaviour of Israel.
 
I've read enough of the threads to understand why Rachamim exercises people so much. Some of his views are regarded as extreme. However due to either extreme anger or lack of intelligence some correspondents are unable to offer meaningful rebuttal and resort to shouts for "proof" which if supplied would be dismissed as "biased".

I would suggest that you read some of the exchanges between Tangentlama and Rachamim for some frank but open exchanges that actually give those of us interested in the situation something to think about and research; rather than just jumping in with "liar, liar pants on fire".

Your perception is so way off the mark its laughable.

Frankly I'm dissapointed that you were one of the many posters who consistently asked Tobyjug for proof of his claims (and rightly so) but somehow when the exact same thing occurs in this forum its somehow different?

Rach has a track record for making claims and not backing them up (even after promising to back up his many claims). To suggest that somehow the debate is weaker because people are asking him for proof suggests to me that your position is the weak one not the posters asking for proof.

I'm glad you brought that up because it was the whole Tobyjug debacle that made me realise that the entire "proof, proof" thing is bollocks. You may recall that I also initiated a thread, apologising to Tobyjug for my part in his hounding and desisted from there on. Besides, Tobes would often state that black is white whereas Rachamim is more likely to state that he holds an opinion which others find offensive and be asked to prove a position rather than an individual fact.

He could easily provide links supporting most of his assertions. It's just that those links would be from sources that some posters would find unacceptable, that's pointless and boring. Take him on at another level, offer a rebuttal.

As I said, I disagree with a lot of Rach's posts. I just think that if you can't challenge them intelligently, you shouldn't bother at all.

This is a new excuse which I'm sure Rach would be more than happy to use next time. Rach hardly ever produces links full stop and not because people will question the source-its more likely that he can't produce them. If you'd even bothered to read his posts (which you claim you have but once again I voice my serious doubts about your claim) you'd know this.

The thing is Grandma that I have stated that in many posts. I often offer that I could provide hyperlinks to IDF, MFA, or Kahanist sites but in the end, to me, it is absolutely worthless. See, you (and others sadly) seem to think that a hyperlink to a page proves something. It does not. You can find webpages claiming G.W. Bush is an alien if you look moderately. So what? I would much rather deal with actual facts but this seems to escape you (and of course others).


As for not being able to produce links, as I said, one can find anything on the ent. that is not an issue. I much rather have people truly research a subject and learn.

Luckily circumstances allowed me to see how fruitless THAT effort would be. Political discourse is going to be heated in the best of times I think and that is why I take great pains not to let myself use expletives and such. I would hope that this would have also contributed to a more congenial atmosphere, but alas. Shame that the mods have to do what they do I think.
