Serious fire, Brixton Water Lane?

That does seem very unlikely... I just don't understand why they're targeting little shops (whether linked or not)? Well perhaps I do but it doesn't seem like a feasible reason..

Bearing in mind how rare petrol bombings really are. And bearing in mind that the majority of the few there are take place at night and these were all whilst the shops were open, I'd be very, very much expecting to find a link. Don't think there has been enough publicity or for the nature of the incidents to be such that copycat attacks are happening.

My money would be on: some sort of dispute (if the shops are connected (or were believed to be) connected in some way) or mentally ill suspect ("God told me to burn the off-licences" or some such explanation).

VERY concerning whatever the reason.

Oh well I'm glad you posted. I wasn't sure if it seemed like there might be a link or not... I'm glad that it doesn't appear "normal" to you either!!

I went into News at 9 again today and they're up and running again (in fact they were a few days later) - we had a bit of a chat and a laugh, but I'm so glad they all came out of it ok... it's so horrible that that poor man at Oval died... :( I really hope they catch whoever's doing this.

Judging by the e-fit picture issued by the police I would have thought anyone looking that distinctive would not take long to catch.

Where's that? And is it one e-fit for all 3 (or 2) of the crimes or just for one??

I heard the description for the one in Kennington - on tv, must be in the papers now too.

Just heard that all 3 fires have been officially linked, citing race hate as the motive. :( I really hope they catch him soon.

Just saw the news and the reporter actually said "police are hunting a man who looks like Shrek".

Well whatever they describe him as, let's hope they catch him before he does it again.

Mccliche.. did you get in touch with the police about what you saw??

I hope they get this guy really soon. :(

Christ. Don't think I ever went in (or maybe once or twice) but that's just behind where I lived for two and a half years. I shopped in several other places on that parade.
