Seminal dance tunes from your particular era

had a similar moment with Acperience but played by Wetherall down the Zap club. Lights come on, bouncers start trying to herd people out, acperience goes on, place goes batshit crazy, bouncers give up trying to get people out and wander around looking faintly befuddeled.

I was in my first term at uni, and had been out to buy Aceperience from Choci's Choons. Went to Pinch at the Gardening Club, where a very young Chris and James were DJ-ing. My then GF had just dropped her first little un (we'd all scored some LOVELY rubarb and custard caps:D), and LO! they start playing Aceperience...nothing better than hearing a DJ playing out a tune you'd bought THAT DAY :D

Jeff mills - The Bells

probably the tune I remember following me round from the clubs to the warehouse parties and house parties the most for several years... took me ages to work out what it actually was as well coz it was always played peak time which also equalled peak mashed up dancefloor action time for me, so it was just that magic dun dee dun dun tune for ages til I sussed it:D

q project - champion sound (total science hardcore will never die mix)
bad company - the nine
andy c & shimon - bodyrock

...all spring to mind

Touch - Without you (circa 1987) when clubs were still called discos in some places.
Simply Red - Come to my Aid and Money's too tight to mention - big in the 'disco' I 1st went to.
Love Can't Turn Around - Steve 'Silk' Hurley
