My neighbours burn trash on a bonfire. It's toxic - plastic and all sorts. i had a word with them about it - tols them it was illegal, and polluting, and the fumes are poisonous for their kids... I tried every angle. Their reason for doing it? Can't be arsed to put the garbage out. This was what they told me. The actually told me they can't be bothered to take things to the charity, or put stuff in the garbage. So on it all goes - old shoes and clothes, kitchen trash the lot.
fucksake

Push em in!

Hoard your rubbish for a week, set fire to it and stuff it through their letter box.

/getting carried away

Get some old lead paint - wait till the wind is in their direction - light bonfire

Should do the trick !

Rolls of old roof felting ought to do the trick - or a plastic dashboard off an Allegro or similar ....

Ah, very good suggestions these.

They did actually cut back on the weekly fires - they do it less frequently now... but the fires are now larger, and longer lasting...

I might report them to the council, but I hate a grass.

I might lob some burning running shoes into their garden, but then I wouldn't have any shoes in which to run away.

I hate this sort of talk about 'grassing'. You should quit thinking like a petty criminal. If their bonfires are causing a nuisance to you, there's probably other people much less capable than you of taking a stand being bullied by this behaviour. Why should you all have to put up with it, just so you get valued by the prison-going classes?

it's not grassing, don't feel bad for reporting them. it's a poisonous nuisance.

i reported the business below our flat to the council for doing something similar. i don't feel bad for doing it - if they'd actually taken on board our complaint and acted on it, and we gave them weeks to do so, they wouldn't have had a visit from environmental health.

too lazy to put your rubbish out? what kind of fuckwits are they?

Not in this weather really. It's so bloody cold that you're better off hanging your pants indoors to dry out.

...or starting a nice warming bonfire or something.

;)

You could check with your local council coz there's usually local regs regarding the lighting of bonfires. Times, what's allowed to burn, etc.

I think it's rude to light a bonfire during the day tbh(unless you live somewhere remote), but unfortunately there are a lot of rude people about now :(

What's really rude is a farmer burning off a field of stubble in a field next to you.

But that won't happen these days.

For some reason that doesn't bother me. I like watching the field on fire :o It maybe isn't supposed to happen but it still does round here most years.
