Seed Records - Check out this line up :)

He's a fucking legend, but his rider demands were too excessive and pernickety, so they got The Grid to do their first live show in 10 years. I hope they don't do fucking Swamp Thing.

well, sort of... but I've never seen them and I have a soft spot for all things Soft Cell-related.
I only know a few of their tunes (never heard Swamp Thing, but I take it it's shite) and they never struck me as overly poppy. But then, this was about 7-10 years ago so I won't be held to that.
Didn't they collaborate with Sun Ra at some point?
Maybe it will be pants.
they're on at like 10 anyway, so easily missed.

I'm a huge fan of Soft Cell, which is why The Grid are such a disappointment with horrific stuff like Swamp Thing, Texas Cowboys and Crystal Clear - proper gimmicky cheesy 90s Europop like Rednex' Cotton Eyed Joes and Scatman John - that sort of shite.

I used to love the grid , there nuffin like swamp thing around at the time, they were ace fun I thought, damm cheesy but the thought of hearin those old tunes again..........surely they probably age quite well, i might even go, who knows.

A little bumplet...
Due to overenthusiasm, I have a spare (and cheap, cheaper than you get tx for now anyway) ticket for this.
Please PM me if you're interested.
The line up still looks just as good :D

Well that certainly sounds like a bargain. Someone should snap that up straight away! ;)

Well I certainly hope so :D
Only £13.44 including booking fee.
The only disadvantage being that whoever purchases it from me will have to meet me in person cos it's door pick-up. Fortunately there will be some Urban meeting up beforehand I believe?
Although where? There isn't anywhere in E&C is there? (did we try this last time, I can't remember:o?)

No, we bumped into you outside in the rain if I recall.

I'll try and sort it out.:)

could be a fat night, despite the price tag...
its a very expensive place to hire i hear.
anyways, its a great space to go raving in.
ardisson live sets are pretty darn good if you like 303 basslines!

Sorted ;)

The pub suggestion is from me, and it's a good un (not far off either).

I probably (?) won't come to the event, but I might be around for the pub :)

We'll have to see how people feel now given that it apparently clashes with PROD.

William suggested the Ship down the road, it's a good pub, anyone for a few in there beforehand?

Yeah, that'd be good.
But then, PROD would be alright too...
I'm up for whatever, it's a Saturday, I can actually get to London reasonably early and stuff, yay :D

I love the 303.

Cheapest ticket in town available from me... (still not exactly a give away though)

Does anyone else feel that an "Urban Technoheads go to the Tate Modern and slide down the slides really fast before going to dance at Soviet" is a really fucking brilliant idea for a pre-clubbing meet, or is that just me? :D

Yeah, I think it could be highly amusing- a nice adrenaline rush to get the fun started!
I'm doubly keen because I don't know when else I'm going to get to go on it!

The above pre-party pub suggestion may have been superseded for some, by this

;)

I'll be at 'this', but going to Okupational Hazard later.
