Called away to another place
Evil. Ffs. Look I care. Let me wipe the tear from your cheek. Now move the fuck on.
Eh? What are you going on about??

No need to get personal with the insults. There's no-where else to go in this discussion on line. Perhaps we can take it up again in the new season face to face.
Not covering yourself in glory with the insults.
I don't think we should give away season tickets to sponsors unless its extremely limited numbers.
I would rather that the sponsor names of the players were not read out when we read out the line up.
I would rather our tweets were not sponsored.
I understand the need for a shirt or stand sponsor as these can attract large sums of money.
Estate agents are evil and prey on a basic human need. Contrast this with gambling companies who prey on human weakness. One is evidently more of an issue than the other.
I understand the decision to have an estate agent as a main sponsor.
I think we should sack the bar manager if he can't run the bar efficiently and to the benefit of the club and the fans.
All the above are my views and people can agree or not. But apparently if we are at risk of losing a planning application we shouldn't be focusing on any of that instead.

AgreedI may think the new season ticket looks more or less aesthetically pleasing than the old one, but ultimately I don't really care as long as it gets me through the turnstile on a matchday.

I still believe we ARE a friendly community spiritied club.... Just because we have to live in the real world & attract sponsorship from some companies that may not appeal to everyone does not alter that.
If you think it does perhaps it's time to up the concession prices to those at other clubs in our division; to reign in the range of them; to stop our 'Pay What You Like' match; to continue to work with as many local charities and community groups as we can...and so on.
It's easy to be one hundred per cent totally principled, but to do so, it would mean that we will end up lower down the football pyramid, as we need to maximise income while continuing to work that I believe our fans want us to do as a Club, for our community.
Some things don't go down well with a minority of our fans, and whatever you feel we have done wrong with this deal we can learn from for whatever the next one is.
I shall continue doing what little bits I can alongside whoever wants to help, but for how long I don't know...
Personally speaking, helping our Club takes up a huge chunk of my spare time, something I am happy to do, I hasten to add, but this constant moaning about something that has been done, can wear me down...
I genuinely think it's time for people to accept it, even if it's not to their liking, and move on...or, if it hurts that much, move away to watch football elsewhere, if it affects your principles & conscience that much-a comment I amke generally, not aimed at any individuals.
. As I said up thread you are one of the biggest bloody moaners I've ever met, ever. If anyone told you to support another club rather than Dulwich, you'd be bloody livid. And you say the 'moaning' of others wears you down. Why are you so keen to engage with it then???
). However i respect the rights of others to air their views. And I will state once again it's the rude dismissive attitude on this thread from some that is the problem AND THE THING WHICH MAKES THE CONVERSATION GO ON FOR LONGER.Actually, I wouldn't be 'livid'...I'd simply say "You're having a bubble...fuck off, I'm a Dulwich fan". People can say what they like about me, good or bad...it's all water off a ducks back to me...it's all been said before.
And if I make comments which people disagree with & then they respons back...then I will respond. That is, how I believe, public forums work. That is what makes conversations go on longer.
I realise, of course, that not all people can afford season tickets. Which is why, for those who do, but for whom money is tight, it is me who instigated the 'pay in three instalments option a few years ago.
As it was myself, who instigated & pushed for, through being on the Club Committee, the £4 rate for concessions and making them so wide ranging.
So I do know how pricing affects fans like yourself...
I do believe, I am a generally nice person. It's down to your own interpretation of that. After all you're not necessarily nice all the time. Each to their own...
I think everyone accepts that there has to be sponsorship, and that those people doing the sponsoring may not be to everyone's tastes. This current beef-ette is more to do with the level that sponsorship makes itself felt on a personal nature with fans.I have not come on to apologise about the sponsorship or selling an advert on a season ticket because that was part of a deal that brought in the sum for the first team shirts this year. It is not as simple as saying that you can have the shirts and nothing else when there is a possibility of not closing out the deal.
Currently, my remit from the owners is to get in money for the club so that we can balance the books and still give Gavin the best budget he can have. Our own policy is no betting companies (because of link to a gambling addiction charity & hypocritical nature of relationship between betting and football) and payday lenders.
In terms of sponsors, some people are opposed to alcohol as it is also something that can destroy lives but we have accepted it so there is unlikely to be a major sponsor that somebody doesn't find less than perfect. However, when ownership changes then the club owners are at liberty to set whatever agenda they may want in terms of sponsors.
In terms of new sponsors & advertisers, I have asked on numerous occasions for introductions to advertisers/sponsors from supporters via the website, programme column etc. and even offered 10% of what we earn to any supporter. This was to encourage fans to introduce us to companies they like as potential sponsors - total names provided to date 1 (given to me this weekend)
So, in the spirit of listening to fans concerns, I will propose the following offer for next season. Set up some sort of crowdfunding appeal and raise £20000 for the club to have no shirt sponsor on the first team shirt, tracksuits, polo shirts. If it reaches £35000 I promise not to sell naming rights of stands/terraces, Academy Kits, season tickets or other items fans may come in contact with (50/50 tickets, match entrance tickets. coffee cups etc). For £50000 you can even guarantee I won't look to sell stadium naming rights.
Some fans seem to think that it doesn’t actually matter whether or not we take sponsorship, and that there’ll just be some kind of ‘propping up’ indefinitely from our owners but we are soon to become fan owned and this will be a vital source of income in balancing the books and keeping our wage budget competitive.
I am considering setting up a commercial sub committee so if there is any interest to help the club commercially then let me know via email.

With the season tickets - something that are more or less exclusively the domain of the hard core fans that the club should be trying to keep happy - two things happened without any form of consultation: the distinctive and popular DIY design of the tickets was changed to something far more mainstream, and the back was plastered in an advert.
As I said, I used to proudly show off the season ticket to potential new fans because - for me - it underlined that Hamlet was a team that did things differently. Yes, we had sponsorship, yes we had a crappy banner above one stand for an estate agents, but - look! - our season tickets reflect that this isn't another corporate club where every inch of space gets occupied by adverts and there's still room for individuality.
I suspect that some/many of you will have no idea why this should matter in the slightest - someone has already asked why people should get worked up over a little season ticket - but in my humble opinion, it's the little things that maintain the bond between the fans and the club.
Disenfranchise them by changing things without any kind of discussion and you may lose the essential spirit that makes Hamlet so different and so appealing to new fans.
As someone who has run these boards for free for 15-odd years and suffered near endless criticism for every single minor change (and worse), I fully sympathise with Liam and Mishi but will say one thing: although it's fucking annoying having to put up with an endless barrage of nitpicking criticism, you have to remember that in almost all cases it's because people really really fucking care.
You won't get much thanks for what you do - at least not online - but people are grateful for the work you do and most know that without you guys the club would struggle. So please don't take it too heart too much. We love you really.
I understand that, but some kind of balance has to be maintained or else I feel things may go into reverse. Would it really have scuppered every other deal if it was politely explained that the really hard core fans - the ones that have kept the club afloat during the lean times, and the ones they really don't want to piss off - would like to be consulted before their hard earned season tickets turn into advertising portals?I completely get it is that people care and that is why I am happy to debate with them. Sponsorship won't go away and the need to bring more into the club is ongoing. That may well cause some friction because essentially everything is for sale.
From memory it's half price for STHs, so personally a fiver isn't going to put me off if I was going to attend anyway. I'm unlikely to bother with the midweek games, but probably wouldn't have gone to those anyway. It's still better than most clubs, who will charge full price.Whilst I couldn't care less about what it looks like, I noticed that the enclosed letter mentions that season ticket holders now have to pay to get into home pre-season friendlies. I know I now won't be attending any of them.
Yes, the fiver per game certainly isn't beyond my means (others may be affected though), but I did buy the ticket with the assumption that like previous seasons when I have held a season ticket, I have been able to attend games at no extra cost. Correct me if I am wrong but I don't remember any communication from the club advising of this change before STs went on sale. I was somewhat looking forward to seeing Norwich at Champion Hill. It would have been like seeing us against us in our away kit from 3 years ago. From memory it's half price for STHs, so personally a fiver isn't going to put me off if I was going to attend anyway. As for the season tickets themselves, I think Scolly should be commissioned to produce all of them by hand using pink card, a pair of scissors, Letraset and a laminating machine, with a hand-drawn caricature of the owner on the reverse side.
Season Ticket prices were reduced by £10 with the pre season friendlies removed from them. That still gives 23 games for the price of 15 to existing season ticket holders and choices to people if they want to attend home pre season games for half price.
It also meant that if we had been promoted then it would have been 21 games for price of 15 rather than 16.
At the time we did not know how many pre season games there would be or what the opposition would be like. For non season ticket holders they can attend 4 home pre seasons for price of 3 if bought in advance

That seems reasonable to me. Thanks Liam
