Sean Lock - RIP

i wish there was a different format where funny people could riff off each other other than panel shows, but I much prefer that spontaneous comedy to pre-scripted (panel shows have lots of prescripted bits in them too of course)
I’ve stopped watching them, at least 10 years ago even the venerable HGINF went stale eventually. The Harry Enfield panel show sketch sends them up for the lazy concept that they are.

Yeah, I've gone back and started rewatching 15 Stories from the stuff I can find online, good stuff but the picture quality's not great.

Still really enjoying my rewatch of 15 Storeys, just got up to the episode where he gets in a war with the kids from the local pool who put up posters saying he's found a cure for baldness, and Errol cleans up a sticky patch in the hallway but the caretaker catches him and makes him pour syrup over it.

Thought I'd try a bit of his standup on youtube and there was a bit about how much he liked smoking, how he didn't want to stop, and joking that it wasn't cheaper to stop because it just means you'll live longer. Eek. He made his choice I guess but it makes for uncomfortable viewing knowing he died of lung cancer.
