Remembering Sean Lock With 11 Of His Finest Jokes
The comedian died at the age of 58 on 16 August 2021.m.huffingtonpost.co.uk
Hope it goes well.Heard about Sean's passing this morning. It's very, very sad as he was very, very funny and, one of the good guys.
Saw him in Lancaster a few years back at the Aston Hall which has a huge 25ft tall concert pipe organ at the back of the stage.
He walked on to applause and said through gritted teeth "I'm really fucking annoyed with this...I ordered a drum kit."
RIP and fuck cancer![]()
I'm feeling this all the more today as I'm off to have some odd lesions checked out tomorrow morning![]()
endless clips of basically just sean on youtubeNever saw 15 storey's high and I could rarely watch more than a few minutes of 8/10 cats as it had jimmy carr in it. Somehow I still had a sense of how good he was.
6 and 9 cracked me up.
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the firework scene in 15 Storeys High. That's one of the funniest most unexpected single scenes in any comedy I've ever seen.

The ping pong brothers upstairs and the Shetland pony in the flat.I and theBoy always really enjoyed Blue Rat and Sean shouting "Oiii" from his balcony at passing cyclists in a bid to get them to fall off. Such fun.
.Stewart Lee famously awful
What a beautiful tribute![]()
Harry Hill on Sean Lock: ‘The comedian’s comedian who took us all by surprise’
Sean’s crazily funny gags reminded me why I got into comedy – his dry humour was always balanced with his wide-eyed wonder at the worldamp.theguardian.com
I listen to the Richard Herring podcast. He has recently had testicular cancer, had to have one removed and went through chemo.
If I got seriously ill and all my mates started crossing the street to avoid awkward conversations I wouldn't really want wankers from the past taking their place.I listen to the Richard Herring podcast. He has recently had testicular cancer, had to have one removed and went through chemo.
As of yet he hasn't heard from Stewart Lee. Bit rough that

His annoyance at his mat being moved could only be made so funny by him..

Not sure if it's the same guy, but he's does some amazing stuff.Artist creates masterpieces in the mud on the backs of vansIs that really real? Fucking amazing work.
Seems like no-one has a bad word to say about the bloke, quite the opposite. What a bloody shame.

Yeah, you can often see when someone wasn’t that liked by their peers after a death due to the lack of response. But there’s been nothing but a universal outpouring of praise and respect for him.Is that really real? Fucking amazing work.

i wish there was a different format where funny people could riff off each other other than panel shows, but I much prefer that spontaneous comedy to pre-scripted (panel shows have lots of prescripted bits in them too of course)15 Storeys High was fantastic. It's a bit of a shame the way panel shows eat up talent. He was funny on the Cats Countdown show, because he was funny. Can't really blame him, because he could have probably paid off his mortgage and the rest of his street, but not the best use of his talents probably.
