I've never herad any scott walker. he's always seemed like one of these people who musicians namecheck, rather than someone normal people are into - i have never met one single person with a CD or record by him.
One night I thought it would be a good idea to listen to "The Drift" in bed before I went to sleep - had totally forgotten about the Donald Duck moment and nearly crapped myself!
It's definitely uneasy listening but at times absolutely breathtaking in its intensity and imagination, I'd recommend it to anyone for "Clara" alone.

I'd have voted 'both' as some of the album is clearly problematic, if it didn't seem wrong to have a non-polar opinion of his efforts. Scott Walker is clearly barking. His genius is genius and his warbling turds are genius too.
