Ditto to that, means I'll need to go to the pub to watch it  Or I could stay in and hope Engerland lose :)

I don't want to go to the pub because I can't afford it and all my mates who have Sky will be watching Hinglan' :(

So it is with me and it will never change. One may as well say "I'll be back tomorrow if you're lucky" and be done with it.

We have good intentions, but fuck it.

Mrs Flashman not happy, but will never come to terms with it I feel, neither have the past ones. And this is my last stop on that road. Ever.

Wow, for a country with ten times the population, plus the fact that we never got any black players:( you fucking should be ten times better than us.
But you're not. Why is that:confused:

That comment deserves a prize! ha ha.

So if you have a black person in your team you are good then? Nigeria and Jamaica have quite a few black people in their teams but they are shit.
If you haven't noticed some of our best players are not black eg. Rooney, Owen, Terry and Gerrard are all top players to name but a handful. And anyway what the fuck has that got to do with anything?

I think that is a ridiculous statement.

can you explain why dickhead. have you read the whole thread. can you grasp the argument? No, Didnt think so:rolleyes:

The argument goes thus and I'll type slowly and double space so you can understand.

When I were a lad in the 70's, Scotland were better than England.

Then we became worse than England.

One of the reasons England are better is because they have ten times the amount of eligible players to choose from.

Plus, since the great Arthur Wharton, they have had a very strong 'non Anglo Saxon' genetic pool to choose from. We, for historical, cultural and economic reasons, have not. Our loss.

Where would France be without 'Le Rainbow Nation'? Certainly wouldn't have won a world cup. Where would England have been without the likes of Barnes, Ince, Anderson, Wright, Ferdinand, Cole, Cole, Cole, Campbell, Heskey (ok, not Heskey) but you get my drift.

"So if you have a black person in your team you are good then? Nigeria and Jamaica have quite a few black people in their teams but they are shit.

Class post btw:D You are Adolf Hitler at the |Berlin games and I claim my £5:D

And I won't even mention Brasil. How good would they be with a team full of players of European descent:confused:

Oh, and I'm sure you believe the only reason Crouch needed to indulge in a bit of dread-pulling so England could beat the mighty Trinidad at the WC was because of their secret weapon Birchall (now appearing as a sub for St Mirren in the SPL):D

If England were inherently good, they would be up there with Germany and Italy (who, curiously have no black players but are still good) in terms of World Cups/European Championships won.

Dickhead:rolleyes:

Scotland start get to excited to be leading a qualifying group and i think that says it all.

I take it you haven't watched the 3-2 game? We played you off the park.

As for us getting excited about quailifying; the Tartan Army has always placed enthusiasm and optimimism over reality. Always have done, always will. That's one reason for such a huge travelling support.

England, however, for all the Jonny Bigballs huffing and puffing, and all the moaning which at times smacks of "we're entitled"....well; you haven't exactly done much have you? Assisted through England 66 by generous referees and under-performing opponents. Wow.

Denmark have won as many major tournements as England. Gives Scotland hope and puts England's 120 years of underperformance in to perspective. :)

Fuck me, it's only just gone ten....Five hours to go. I havent been this exited about a Scotland game since we played Brazil in 98..or maybe even to the Ninian Park qualifier in 85;)

I hope Shevchenko thinks he's playing for Chelsea and has a mare... C'mon Scotland

Lights out, we are a far superior football nation thats why i don't get all angry about it as we consistently compete at the HIGHEST levels.
You relate back to a game years back which shows how bad things have been for Scottish football.

I like your posts above Pagan, they are great works of art. Can't quite put my finger on it but you seem a bit odd, dunno. Your not really worth the reply.

As i said earlier (before idiots getting all upset) i would like Scotland to qualify as i do know quite a few up there, normal people. I don't let a couple of twatty individuals change that opinion, to big you see. ;) .

I reckon half the problems lie deeper, if someone from England (god forbid) says they think Scotland, Ireland or Wales aren't very good at something they take it to heart like its a personal attack on their nation. When in fact speaking for myself its purely about football. I love all three places, just don't rate their football teams that highly.

But Hinglan' overrate themselves..so much promise but so few results to show for their effort. :D

I've noticed the fans down the pub are increasingly less likely to be surprised when we do inevitably go out on penos in the QF, taken a long fucking time though, but a lot are getting it now.

I blame 196*.

The media, as always, are spunk fringes of the highest order.

Aye, 1966 has provided many an England fan with a false sense of hope and security. How many more times a year will we be treated to the same tired auld footage with the same words..."They think it's all over"...where's my sick bucket? :D

Nah. I think the majority of us recognise us for what we are: a decent footballing nation, but not a great one. I would agree that our press goes overboard, and they are one of the main problems. Teams like Denmark in 92 or Greece in 04 didn't have the weight of media expectation weighing on them. If the media buggered off we would have a far greater chance.

I think it's taking the Scots almost as long to get over England winning the World Cup as it's taking the English

I don't really think the Scots care about engerland winning any fecking world cups.

well why do so many of them keep going on about it then? :D I hear it mentioned more often by Scots and Welsh than I ever do by the English

Are you sure about that? To hear the media talk you're going to win all cups in all competitions...even with your crap manager and his hopeless squad selections. :D

It's almost like an entitlement... Mind you, that seems to be a common life ailment amongst many English. Check em out abroad...

well I don't judge the Scots by their media

seems an odd way to look at a nation of millions of diverse people, most of whom don't even care about football let alone whether or not they won a world cup once but hey ho

We don't feel that we're entitled to the cup, unlike the English. :p
