Scotland vs France

I'm suggesting the BBC which covers all of Britain has a predominantly English audience, so more people want to watch England. In the same way a lot more people want to watch Man U than want to watch Lincoln city.

How did you work that one out? You seem to be ignoring the BBC regions (of which Scotland is a part). The BBC does not have a "predominantly English audience north of the border...or are you suggesting that the Scots are really English? Because that's fighting talk. :D

Licolon City is still two divisions below Man Utd. If the Imps were in the top flight it would be another matter, but then entire Premiership matches aren't shown on the BBC either.

That may sound far-fetched but there is a grain of truth to what you say. The BBC is an Anglo-centric broadcaster. Hell, even the Welsh don't get to see their side play on BBC, they have to put up with the England matches (NI too).

And Jimmy Hill personifies this hence the song.LOL.

I was responding to your post about the BBC being anglocentric, taking the thing as a whole. If you were tlaking about BBC Scotland specifically then of course they should show Scotland.

And Lincoln are three divisions below Man Utd actually.:p

To be fair looking at the comparative levels of the same teams a better analolgy might be Newcastle and Rotherham. How does that suit you?

1. The fact that the BBC have a regional service in Scotland doesn't appear to affect their judgement to favour the screening of the Scotland match on BBC1 and moving the children's programmes over to BBC2. It happens for England matches only. My question is why? And, thus far, I have not read anything which suggests a valid reason for not doing this.

2. Lincoln are well below Man Utd, that goes without saying.

3. Newcastle and Rotherham? I know Newcastle are shite but come on! Besides Newcastle's a nicer place to live and to visit than Rotherham. :p

Are you talking about BBC1 across all the countries or just in Scotland here?

Scotland. The BBC in England would never consider splitting an England match over BBC 1 & 2. It just wouldn't happen. In many ways it appears to be a reminder of Scotland's second class status in the union.

In that case I agree with you.

That's not very conducive to an argument is it? :p

probabaly the only thing I can put i Rupert MUrdochs favour is that his commpany lets me watch BBC Scotland Football in SE London , from the comfort of my own piss stained armchair.:p
