Thank fuck he's gone – a more passionless, clueless Chelsea side I can't remember. Chelsea under Hoddle would have this lot for breakfast – and that's WITH Ed Newton and Frank Sinclair!

Let's hope the Avram Grant rumours aren't true – the players had zero respect for him. Abramovich should be on his hands and knees to Jose begging him to return.

Lets hope the players dont have zero respect for the next guy then, otherwise they will continue being absolute wank for him.

Good news for west ham.

Had scolari lasted til the summer, and zola/clarke guided us to a pretty remarkable (given the crap that's been circling overhead) top 8 finish, and maybe a cup qf/sf, they'd have been certs to go to chelskov.

Can't see them coming in for zola/clarke quite yet, so we've got lucky here, I feel.

I figured he'd get pushed or would walk before the end of the season. Abramovitch made the original mistake of getting rid of Mourinho. He (Abramovitch) has a bit of a quick fix attitude to things; he doesn't seem to truly understand that football is a game and sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. It's too easy to dump managers when things go pear-shaped but the players also must bear some responsibility for Chelsea's recent fortunes.

What an extraordinary decision.

And just eleven days before Villa play them in a critical home match.

whats this Zola stuff all about i thought he was on the brink of getting sacked two months ago

also Hiddink was a non-starter a year ago because of some Russian political shenanigans so is there any evidence this would not still be the case?

Did'nt see that comming tbh:eek: thought they'd give him the season to prove himself, hopefully Chelsea will implode and we'll edge them out for the 4th place Champs League spot :D

I remember speaking with a friend of mine on how a lot of people liked Scolari in his first couple of games in Chelsea, and telling him that's because everyone loves a loser. Seems I was half right.

Anyway, is anyone pitching Queirós? He's very shaky in the national team, and I could really see him being lured to England again. And this would open up Scolari for his dream job - Portugal, where he's still a hero for many folks.
