School of Rock...

You haven't seen the Goonies?!

At least you now know what to say when someone asks "What do you want for Christmas?" :D

I quite like it, didn't have me in stiches or nothing but was good to sit back and have the odd chuckle to. Calm down everyone.

It's like saying, "bambi is shit! the acting is poor. It's not funny. Christ how could ANYONE make a shit film like this!! I WASTED TWO HOURS OF MY LIFE WATCHING THIS!!!"

What did you expect - it's a harmless film which is uplifting and fun. It didn't try to claim to be the best comedy of all time.

just cos something is supposed to be "harmless, uplifting and fun"(and anyway, that's only a personal opinion of a film) doesn't mean it can't be criticised if someone thinks it's shit, surely?

anyway, i've not seen school of rock and i don't want to cos i very much doubt that i'll enjoy it :)

I thought it was hilarious. Laughed my socks off. It managed to take the piss out of every rock cliche under the sun. It's very corny, of course, but then it's meant to be. The kind of movie film snobs loathe but us ordinary mortals love. :)

School of Rock is ok - a passable 3/5 with some funny moments.

Rock School, the documentary, on the other hand, is fucking great.

God... I did what your mate did last night... now hanging head in shame.

Surely the bit where he gives them all nicknames is good... 'turkey sub' that used to crack me up a year ago... man I mustve been boring then....

ive had that before when Little Nicky came on tv once, told my amtes how great it was to sit through it and they all hated it, ahh well screw them i still love it :D and school of rock as well (some say i have shit tastes in movies though)

Okay then, lets focus on ME! (it's safer)
I probably enjoy it most beacause it's about a failed rock star turned teacher.:D

i've seen the adverts. the adverts always show the "funniest" bits. so therefore, i've seen the funny bits.

[]that's[/i] logic!

Good films always have crap adverts. Plus Jack Black is the most rocking thing since Guns and Roses (That in itself may put you of though):D

one of those films thats only funny if you're stoned.

defo doesn't work if you have a rotten hangover, and havent actually managed to crawl out of bed by 8pm the next day

(note to self: have dinner b4 going out drinking)

I love it, but then I love JB and the whole juvenile Tenacious D thing. Cos while it is juvenile, as someone else said, it drags out every rock cliche going - really tickles me as someone who was into it all (and still is!).

And come on, what's not to laugh at when JB does the stage dive :D :D

I think I've been the culprit of many 'this is a great film, watch it' and then been utterly embarrassed that in fact they found it shit.

Another case in point is the Secretary. Now that IS a good film. No denying IMO...think the people I made watch it just didnt quite 'get it'

I absolutely fucking adore this film and have seen it twice. I might have even had moist eyes when they were doing the show at the end :o :D

This pretty much sums it up for me. Dunno if I'd watch it again but it made me laugh a few times and I needed that last night :)

Totally crap. About as funny as pissing blood. Didn't even smile once in the first hour, then turned over, and I like Jack Black.
