S'right Ed. Advertisers cause trouble all the time. I think Urban75 is a good example of playing the long game and not taking ads. It can be done.

To be fair Schnews could just go online right? Or have the folks just all had enough in general?

It was online (of course), in fact a very early adopter getting a website '96 or thereabouts. www.schnews.org.uk

It was online in the same format as the printed version though, they'd put up a whole issue once a week rather than putting articles up on at a time in a constant attempt to get people to share them on facebook or whatever.

All credit to them for carrying on with the paper edition too though. I know how much graft they put it to just stuffing envelopes for subscribers every week. I do think something is more likely to sink in if you have to sit and read it on purpose rather than because you were bored and you saw a link to it somewhere.
