Hmmmm, well, i tried to kit myself a scarf, and i've decided i don't like it. so i'm giving it to my partner's sister. My partner has a handknitted grey scarf, that was long enough to touch the floor with both ends when draped round his neck, so i stuck it in the machine on a hot wash and it's a reasonable elngth now, and it's gone all soft and lovelly.
i need to make myslef a scarf, but i can't decide on wool and a pattern atm.
the £225 one (which is incredibly beautiful) is made of 100% viscose* and it's kind of velvety

I cut off the label and the label with the brand name on it as i hate ostentatious labels
I'll dig out the other one, which still has the label attached, and put it on the recycle your stuff thread - a donation to Survival International will secure.
