going to wetherspoons

I often find that their beer is served far too cold. Mind you, some are better than others...and I've been into some pretty shit Wetherspoons.

Yeah, pubco's suck as they make our beer more expensive and behave like corrupt bankers.

I wondered why places like Weatherspoons and Samuel Smiths pubs could sell beer at a decent price - they don't have to deal with pub-co's. When house prices were booming many deliberately run village pubs into bankrupcy with massive rents and high beer prices. The pub-co's wanted the pub to fail so they could sell it as a private house. Pubs properties can only change to houses when a pub as a business is proven not to be viable. Pub co's are now in the shit as got too greedy with their pyramid scheme financial wizardry.

yep .. the other thing weatherspoons do is buy beer, cheap, just before sell by date as they know they can shift it
